Hi guys,
here is the question somebody send to me. I know that rap is pretty popular but I am a different generation which is not that much into a rap. Hello,
My name is Grace Jang and I am an undergraduate student at Cornell University writing an extensive research paper on how rap emerged as a global phenomenon from its radical political beginnings to a celebratory testament to American political and economic liberalism. A major part of my paper is analyzing rap once it was consumed by a global market, specifically in Eastern Europe. Using Poland as a case study, I wanted to see how Polish rap evolved and if it adopted the glorification of "bling" in American rap. However, because of the language barrier, I am having difficulty finding translated lyrics and primary resources, such as, newspaper articles or interviews with Polish rappers that are conducted/translated in English. Do you have suggestions or know any contacts that would have more information on Polish hip-hop or rap? Thank you very much!
Sincerely, Grace Jang
if you know anything about it please write here or contact the author at: ghj6@cornell.edu
