Where is this proverb from ?

“A thin chicken cooked and shared tastes better than a fat one eaten alone”

Nothing is black and white. One country's terrorist is another country freedom fighter. Spy is either a hero or a traitor - depending where.

It is my hope and trust this is not a trap, for I have bitten. That proverb you have provided, is South African: From the Zulu land Natal.

This was my first posting whilst year 1967. Our office was/is in Embassy row in Pretoria. Many of the employees were South African Nationals of Orange Free State, but a few were Zulu.

If I am so bold as to ask,,how were you, or for why are you to use that term, if I may ask? I am only speaking of so many years back as to be simply curious. I do remember some of the office ladies with their folk sayings. These ladies from Natal were educated and very knowledgeable and as similar, very much with the bush lands.

In short, we were on excellent terms in the office, but not so well if I was in the bush villages.
