 Mike is banned now...
« Thread Started on Aug 22, 2010, 9:47pm »

I am sorry. I had to ban Mike since he started doing too much trouble for more people. I received several messages from several members who had enough Mike.

The situation would only aggreviate, I do not believe that we could change Mike or he could change us.

If I had some doubts the last time, I do not have it now

sorry, if it was too long. We gave him a second chance, he did not really change a bit

Jaga

Thank you for your decision. For as you have brought forward, this fellow was given a great deal of latitude in the rope given to him to make the change, any change. It is my personal feeling the man was unable to do this, for how do you change a life time of habits?

Jaga, feel not badly, for your decision was an honourable decision. For your concern was for the membership and to the forum. With this of responsibility, is the position of trust that is provided to you by the membership.

I am not certain of the American Federal law in governance of Internet culpability. I do hold a suspicion this fellow may have crossed the line.

Well, it is not an evening to rejoice upon, but, it is over.

Thank you Jaga for your diligence in swiftly taking control of this issue, and creating the climate of decisive thinking.

Karl

Isn`t it a too hasty decision? Based on political reason? One of Mike`s last posts is about current US administration:

After the November election of a new, better, congress, things will start to change, and after we get this president out of office, after his one and only term, more will start for the better, you wait and see. We, the USA made some errors that will be corrected, and we will all make it to good times again, all over the world.

I vaguely remember that the previous banning was also caused by Mike`s incorrect political attitude. I mean his adherence to Republicans while most members and admins here support Democrats.

I don't think it is a political issue Pawian, because I agree with you that there are political differances here. I think that it is about how he deals with people. There is a differance between being critical and being blunt.

I think about his feeling superoir and letting a fellow member know that he thinks that that member is inferior to him. Insulting is differant from plain politics.

Yes, Mike is sometimes hard to bear, iriitating, non-PC and controvercial. Yes he is, God forbid, excuse the word... a Republican. Yes he sometimes thrives on controversy. But he used to be one of the very few members of this forum genuinly interested in Poland and Poland's culture, and has seen Poland with his own eyes. And he has a great sense of humour. Did you notice that? Of humour. And he never resorted to name-calling.

Yes. But many other people are like that, e.g., me. ;D ;D ;D Since the first ban here Mike has been a member of my forum and has displayed the same views and sometimes had arguments too but I never thought of banning him. He wasn`t suspended even once.

Yes. And sometimes he`s able to form very wise opinions that come from the experience of a mature man. I am really amazed at their depth.

I wouldn`t call that blunt but straightforward.

I read more recent posts by Mike to get a wider perspective. It was Eric who insulted Mike by calling him idiot and psycho etc etc. Mike`s reaction to abuses was mild.

So, who insulted who here? Did I miss something? Is Eric going to be punished for abuses?

Jaga and all!

I was getting tired of Mike saying all Polish women are prostitute. He make me feel like I am one too. Mike don't have respect for all kind of women. I was disgusting with him for past year.

P.S. I had job for so many year in office (well-Known) company.

P.S. Mike claimed he have been in Poland, how come he can't find his relatives. Where did he go? Maybe he went to X-Rate Bars. This is far he went. He didn't find his relative properly areas. This is as much he know about Poland. Forgive me for saying this.

Now I hope the forum can return to normal. :)

I can understand second chances, even third chances... but he just abused them all.

I'm 100% certain that his banning has nothing to do with politics and EVERYTHING to do with his attitude. He would start fights, antagonize people, and then pretend to be the victim. His behavior and his posts were becoming increasingly disruptive. In addition, he started to harass some members by email.

In short - he chose not to play by the rules, and this is the result.

Hi,

no, banning Mike was really not a political issue. He was threatening some people in personal e-mails and he was just very blunt/naive/impossible to change guy.

Pawian,
frankly,
I wonder whether he is really like that or he plays somebody else

Now will there be another Mike again. I don't mean male only. It can be woman too. Now I don't like posting because I get crazy emails I had to deleted everyday. What is happening to World?????

Have A Good Day!

We don't just have to worry about another Mike. If Mike follows the traditional troll (internet troublemaker) behavior, he will be back... yet again.
