Actually not really new and we had to because the previous minivan of my husband broke...

Pontiac Montana, from 2001, not really new but you can see.

What any of you guys (and ladies) is driving?

I am not really driving this minivan, I am just my Nissan Altima.

You'll love it Jaga,

I have a 1991 Oldsmobile Silhouette with 274, 367 miles on it. It has the same engine as yours. the GM 3.8 litre V-6.

A great engine. Right now I am looking for a replacement and yours sounds perfect.

The other vehicle is a Honda Civic Hybrid. Great on a trip.

48 to 50 miles per gallon.

:) I have a 2000 Ford Explorer with many of the bells and whistles that I wanted. The car was bought new at the end of the year and was one of the last ones on the lot, so there was a big discount.
I did own a Dodge minivan but it was a backbreaker. This car is very comfortable and driving it doesn'y tire you out.

John,
How do you like your Honda Civic Hybrid? Can you take it to a regular Honda place for maintenance/repairs? I have a regular Honda Civic and love it! The only cars I've ever owned are Honda Civics.

jim and suzannem

Love the Honda Civic. It is regular gas and electric hybrid. You do not plug it in. I'm not sure if ethanol can be used but it is a great question. I will ask next time I bring it in for service.

Yes you can bring it in to a regular Honda dealer for service.

Nice mini van Jaga, those are very popular with families. They will hold half the world in lugage, groceries, kids and dogs, also keep the cats seperated from the dog. I have never owned one, just drove the company vans when I had to. It was a good experience as you seem to feel safer in heavy traffic. I am not sure what they are like in winter driving.

Years back, I owned several air cooled VW,s and they were more fun as the weather become more nasty, just loused heaters when in heavy slow traffic conditions. The one VW was a 411 with the Porche 914 engine, it was ugly, but with a gas heater, it was comfortable and quick.

I have a 1992 VW Jetta with now a bit over 120 000 miles. It is old now, but, was a gift some years back from my mother, it had been in storage. My previous Jetta was also a gift from her and also a Mecury, the Mercury was a loused car, nothing but problems.

How many seats are there in such a minivan? Regular 5, Ii suppose?
Are there minivans with more than 5 seats?
Next year I am going to buy a bigger car, I want to drive out of town with my family, including my father-in-law. I need at leats six seats, if not more.
What can you all recommend to me? I don`t want a small truck, just a medium-size car for a bigger family.

Are you satisfied with your German-made cars? Are they more reliable than American cars?
German cars are known for their reliability, Poles like them a lot.

We have owned two Audis, and they are wonderful until something breaks - then it costs several hundered dollars and a week at the dealer to get it fixed. The 1994 we have now will be the last one.

Well, a week is not bad. I know people in Krakow who own American cars, e.g. Chryslers. When something breaks, they have to wait a few weeks at least, and one impatient guy waited so long he decided to sell his broken car just to get rid of it.

Congratulations on the new car. I am driving a 2001 Silver Saturn. Next month will be the last payment on it and I get to keep it. Before that I had a little red Ford Escort that I still miss. It was the best. My Saturn has been good to me so far . We'll see what happens after my last payment.
