Im not sure if theres anything interesting on here but thought its worth knowing just incase!...if anyone can read the handwritting:D i think it might just say the camps he was at! But unsure:)

Your uncle accomplished a training/class (Dec 1, 1942 - JAn 29, 43) for car drivers with a grade: good.

He received a permission to be a driver of military cars (with 8 people maximum).

I will translate the next paper tonight. It is quite interesting, thanks for sharing. Was it in Italy? All the forms are written in Polish but Poland was occupied at this time, so if this was in Poland it would have at least double Polish/German words.

Thank you so much jaga! I have quite a lot of my grandfathers army papers and from what it says on his papers he was in forced labour camp in Russia,chopping wood-that was 1941-1942 then went to Iran and Khanagin on 14-8-1942 and around 1944 he was sent to Italy to fight in monte cassino battle! The papers are written in polish i think!i am in the process of getting his brothers army papers too(they should have his wife and childrens name etc so will be very interesting)

Tessap, thanks. I was really busy this week. I will try to translate the rest of the papers this weekend. It is really a very interesting archive! Your grandfather life was really interesting but difficult, I can imagine what he has to go through!

Referring to the paper "242". I started translating it some time ago but it looks I did not not finish:

It lists the units which your grandfather was a part of:

- assigned to liquidation detachment (9 d.p)
- moved to 8 p.a.pl.c. Battalion4 (the rest of information is just abbreviations, I am not sure what they mean)
- sworn to 21 p.p.zap.
-reassigned to 51 Rest Camp (?) to Florence
- returned to 8 paplc. and reassigned to battalion 4
- he left to 31 Comp. Saurj (?)
- returned to 8 paplc. and reassigned to battalion 4
-he left to 16 Panc. (Mechanized) Comp. Serv.
- returned to 8 paplc. and reassigned to battalion 4
-he joined P.S.P.R Polish ...(?) as a gunner (kanonier)
