I am sorry guys, I did not see this thread earlier - abebooks selection is much cheaper! Jaga, I do not agree, in this case anyway. The copy that I purchased for Zooba was $6.95 for a new copy. The cheapest through ABE was twice as much ( $14.00). You gotta shop around....

Nancy and all, I am passing Forza's list on to a friend...her husband works in a local library which also has a "sales table". She also has a string of clients most of whom are avid readers...she will ask them. Meanwhile...if the weather and everything else works out, tomorrow I'll hit some second-hand book shops This is much like a modern-day Treasure Hunt!

GM, You might want to first check with Nancy for an updated list regarding what's already been found. She's found some and I found a couple, with one on the way.
This is like a treasure hunt; only problem is, while searching for treasure, I end up finding a lot of books for myself along the way! ;D

Books Found for Forza still stands at (as listed earlier: - Casino Moscow/Breszenski
- Existentialism: From Dostoevsky to Sartre/Kaufmann
- Faust by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, Walter Kaufman
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey/ Hunter S. Thompson
- From Shakespeare to Existentialism/Kaufmann
- Ravelstein/Saul Bellow
- The Air-Conditioned Nightmare/Henry Miller
- Faith of a Heretic/Walter Arnold Kaufmann
- Walking on Water/Derrick Jensen
I have found almost all of the others online but have not ordered any of them, because I am waiting to see what GM, Suzanne, and I turn up at used books stores over the next few days. If none of us have found the other titles by Jan 25, then I will use online sources. Good hunting! (I love this part!) (lowest price for best condition wins )

Three more titles have been found for forza:
Suzanne found Desert Solitaire (Abbey) and It All Adds Up (Bellow).
I had no luck at the big used bookstore I visited today, but I did order a copy of My Life/Clinton (retail: $35., my price $2.26 because the cover is wrinkled.)
So, we are up to 11 ...

Nancy...
When you were searching online did you try AbleBooks.com?
Most of the site is a consortium of independent booksellers.

Nancy... When you were searching online did you try AbleBooks.com? Most of the site is a consortium of independent booksellers. Yes, indeed. ABEbooks, alibris, bookfinder, fetchbook, BAM, etc. etc. Sigh. I remember the old days (about 10 years ago) when you had to schlep from place to place, hoping to find the book you wanted. My husband and I despaired of ever finding some 18th and 19th century marine science publications that we wanted, but when used booksellers came online,we found many of them fairly easily, in New Zealand, England , etc. Never would have been able to visit all those shops in real time.

Right you are I forgot the list when I went to town on Friday. Then found out that this particular bookseller was on-line and I could do my search from home, and then pick up the books in town. This would have worked except they had "nothing!' Middle of a storm late yesterday and today, so no book hunting. More later... GM

Yesterday I received a bag full of books thus finishing the project started some time ago. The delivery took about 8 weeks as promised by USPS. I would like here to thank everybody who contibuted to this project. Thank you all. I've already started to read 5 sic! books. It's been fun to open the package, too - you can imagine.
