Jaga,
I love these images from Alicante too. It looks like there is a little bit fog in the air and that makes the atmosphere and panorama's like a wonderful seaside day experiance in that city. I experianced this kind of weather in Cape Town and such days it was nice to be outside and walk around.
I love the colors of the houses, the rocks (mountain), the palm trees, the vegetation, the rythem of the layers of architecture (old and mondern buildings, houses and churches that merge in the total of the last image). The blue flower plants in front next to the other plants in different shades of green are lovely. It seems that there are some birds of prey circling around the castle in the air. And I like the Sphere formed street lamps on the first image.
The second image has a nice dreamy kind of romantic little alley atmosphere which a lot of Mediteranian towns and villages have. But in general all over Europe you have such wonderful towns, villages and cities with cosy neighbourhoods or quarters. Especially Polish, Czech (Bohemian) and Belgian towns and cities. The speciality of the Spanish and Portugese is their estheticism, their taking care of public space and as a result of that way of life. I love Spanish cinema by the way. In Europe there are quite a few Spanish films in cinema. They are equal to French, Italian, German and English cinema.
Cheers, Pieter

Pieter - Maybe Jaga should choose a different photo for the opening of her presentation. Ela looks a little too tired in that one you picked. Eric, But I do love that image, because it shows a mother and daughter on holiday. It is a typical family portrait, but in the same time a good photo. Not all photo's have to be like say cheese. Cheers, Pieter

Pieter,
thanks. Yes, it was humid in Alicante, no wonder since it is situated in Mediteranean. Thanks for your nice words!

More Saragossa, Aragon's capital. In spite of the fact that it was hot, it was still nice to walk through the city, since there was a cool breeze along the streets. The beginning of June is a good time to see Spain. It is not too hot yet! Zaragoza: apartment complexes where people usually live their whole life in Europe. Ebro river is partly a wetland. In the front to the palace - unfortunately sun did not cooperate Walking to the center - no wonder we lost some pounds Aljaferia - Islamic fortified palace - arabesques People love outdoor life

I love them too. This wonderful mix of Moorish and Spanish Catholic architecture, culture and "design" ( the ornaments ), the streets (boulevards), gardens and sculptures (both the old and the new along the highway)
