Happy Thanksgiving to all forum members and guests. Please, post photos from your Thanksgiving dinner here. I will try later today Karl, do you celebrate Thanksgiving also in Mexico? Jaga Of your question of celebration of thanks given in Mexico, no it is not. They do though, have a great many celebrated holidays through out the year. Some are dependent upon the local area. This area Puebla, is a mix of modern inner city surrounded with various villages of farmers/working people. It is a mix of old and new, with pre-Colombian religious mix with Catholicism. This is a high mountainous area in as farming is difficult but workable. In some areas it is not viable to use tractors or heavy farming machinery, but workable with horse drawn implements such as the plow/ground rake/narrow wagon and such. Most of these villagers will have a large garden and raise such as potatoes/maize/fruits/goats/chickens/geese/ and such. For one, the altitude is very alpine with this very large valley. Many of the people are obvious Mayan features with a mix of European business people and Indian. For the most part, most people are friendly by nature. For as with any, there are the crooked and thieves intermix, it is just as most other areas, simply be prudent whilst visiting an area the appearance of trouble. Karl

Jaga, I saw this thread after I noted JJ's, but here is a picture that the Indian who hosted today's Thanksgiving told me about: PS. Jaga and other Europeans, I repeated my story today that I have never met a European who liked pumpkin pie. Has your experience been any different? Kai

I do not care for pumpkin pie, but if not to not poison, bite back, swim, fly or run about, I will eat it. For it is food, and some thing not to wast.

Kai,
A late response from me. Pumpkin Pie looks like the carrot cake I ate in South-Africa (Cape Town). It does not look bad, the images of pumpkin pie I saw on internet looked well. I like pumpkin dishes, because Europeans use pumpkin less than Americans.
Cheers, Pieter
