I voted Polish, alkthough if there were a multiple choice I'd have chosen Polish/French/Italian. Polish cuisine eaten everyday is detrimental to my health, unfortunately!

Adam,
Do you know the wonderful Polish writer Ryszard Kapuscinski who wandered many years through Africa, lived like an African and experianced many wars and hardships? Which West-African countries have you been? Senegal, Siera Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, or Nigeria? Ah the beautiful Maghreb, Libya, Tunesia, Algeria and Marocco, the white Morish cities with souks, mosques and French colonial architecture, Berbers, Arabs and the Mysterious Touarecs. I have only been in Cape-town South Africa and in the Western Cape.

Adam,
I don't know Polish Cuisine good enough to be able to judge it. My memories of my childhood fail me, and I have the idea that my granmothers kitchen was one of her own, or a mix of Polish and French cuisine. I loved it very much. But I have no idea what todays Polish Cuisine like. The quality of a nations cuisine is also dependant on the quality of it's horeca education (cookschools). For instance English cuisine has inproved while in the past nobody liked British kitchen. The same is the cas with the Duch cuisine, under influence of France and Belgium it got better.

Pieter, many countries, although the 'main base' and most frequent destination was always Nigeria. Polish kuchnia: extremely delicious (well, no wonder, I grew with it but a bit heavy, to put it mildly. Luckily the trends in dietetics seem to change lately and fat plus calories becomes trendy again You're pefectly right that one of the good sides of information flow/globalisation is that ALL national kitchens become eatable. Isn't it, Leslie?

Adam,
I hope that you won't be visited by MI5 after your remark to Leslie, but yes the national kitchens of some countries get better, while other countries kitchens drop. I hop to get to know the Polish kitchen again in the near future.

I like different dishes in different cuisines rather. Sushi is one my favorites for a date. I like Thai food generally but no spicy, please!!! No spicy at all! African - for its great to eat from one plate! - another good one for a date, too! Egg Benedict is my favorite American dish. Fish and chips of English kitchen are awsome. Chicken tortillas and avocado dip of Mexican. Indian kitchen is good when you're really hungry. I love burgers generally - all but McDonald's...Burger King's my favorite fast food cuisine (if it is a cuisine!)
