Well, the last three weekends ahve been fall time in south-central Alaska and my friends and I have gotten out to take advantage of the good dry days. This isn't Europe and it isn't Poland, but this is part of why Polish people come back to Alaska summer after summer to work, earn good money, and enjoy the state! Eklutna Lake, a glacier fed source of city water. Looking out over the Alaska Range with Denai and his wife (Mt Foraker) Denali is over 6 000 meters high, rising from a altitude at the base of 1 000 m. Walking along the mountain ridge to the snow line View of Mt Spur hiding under the glaciers, an active volcano 75 miles (125 km) away The day hike route taken above Eagle River to snowline at Mt Magnificent - thank you, Google Earth! well, that is still cutting it a bit short - quite a bit short of the beautiful fall colors. This is an experiment on my part to see what size I can post and how small the file can be and still carry clarity. Kai
