Well folks, we here in NH are still getting out from under a Nor' Easter. We were without power for 22 hours and without phone, internet or TV for most of that time.
We got 8" of wet and very heavy snow. Knock down trees and power lines all over the place.
I have a gas stove so we had coffee, melted snow for flushing toilets, and food that can be cooked on the stove or my gas barbeque. The internet just came on.
Still don't have my land line and my DSL but Comcast internet is now functioning.
Instead of turkey yesterday we had a ham roasted on the barbeque and the side burner did the potatoes. We survive.

J.J.
It is good to hear from you and all is well with yourself and family. We have been receiving some very bad weather reports of the American East Coast area. Nictoe has yet to check in so do hope all is good with him as well.

Well, we in Alaska are trying to help out! It is taking time and effort, but we are trying to stop the stampede of snow into your neighborhood and corral it up here for our own use. I am still looking at the tops of grass out the window, and we have to get serious about this gathering of snow before the frost penetrates too far.
Well, on the positive side, I assume everyone was happy for the normal services we do have!
Now how can we blame the Gummin't on this one? Obama has to be held responsible.

Kai Ron, I'm surprised at the lack of snow in your area. Usually by this time it is substantial. Besides the frost going deep you have to consider whether there is going to be sufficient groundwater. When we have a relatively dry winter the dug wells have a tendency of going dry. Drilled wells usually no problem.
