From Jan. 20-24, racers from all over Europe are taking part in the 2015 Sedivackuv Long dog sled race in the Orlicke mountains near the Czech-Polish border. A musher rides his dog sled during a stage of the Sedivackuv Long dog sled race in Destne v Orlickych horach on Jan. 23. Each year, racers from all over Europe arrive at the village of Destne in the Orlicke mountains in Czech Republic to take part in the race. Photo by David W. Cerny/REUTERS The four-day race with 88 mushers and 500 dogs is the longest dog sled race in the Czech Republic and one of the most challenging races of its kind in Europe. netnebraska.org/node/955861

What a nice photo's and and what a nice event. I love the Czech republic. Prague and Southern-Bohema, but have never been in this part, close to the Polish border. The race looks exciting!

Jaga
How wonderful! I was not aware that they held dog sled races in the Czech Republic or even in the area. The photos speak for them selves with the sled dogs enjoying their efferts in as well as the mushers. Especially the photo with the dog cooling down laying on his tummy with his paw boots on.
Thank you for presenting
Karl
