Polish President Supports Extension of Anti-Russian SanctionsThe economic sanctions imposed against Russia should be extended, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski said in an interview with the Polish newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. MOSCOW — The Polish president also stressed that the situation in Ukraine is likely to become frozen, but the country should still be moving "towards strengthening the pro-Western option." "The restriction of it [the sanctions policy] is possible only in the event that Russian policy sees a shift for the better." In 2014, the European Union, along with the Unites States and some other countries, imposed sanctions against Russia over its alleged involvement in the Ukrainian internal crisis. The sanctions targeted Russian defense, energy and banking resources. Moscow has repeatedly denied allegations of any involvement in Ukraine's internal conflict, calling for inter-Ukrainian dialogue. In March, EU leaders decided to keep sanctions in place until February ceasefire in Ukraine is fully implemented. The current economic sanctions against Russia are set to expire in July.

Very impressive talk speaking with the thought of NATO unity behind Poland. But needs be remember of reality, for once to push too hard against the Russians, is to light the fuse of a retaliator attact. Not by land forces that would be expected with teaming armoured forces and troops. But behind the lines many Km in distance by the rocket forces and hopefully not with tactical nuclear weapons. Although nuclear would be the more economical use of weapons next to chemical which is the much more economical.
It needs be to be understood by Polish authority, that this conflict if to occure, will not be conventual as with the last war. And with this, Poland needs be to understand, they will stand in the first, alone in facing any enemy they wish to provoke. For it takes time to assemble and transport a military force suitable for the field that is presented.
With the above, needs be understood that inspite of NATO and the Americans push for increased arms spending. Many of our Western European states are currently unprepared for any incursion into a combat situation, let alone with Russian forces. Our equipment is fairly well out dated and what is available, is with out proper spares and suitable ammunition. Our combat fuel reserves are simply non-sense with such a varied fuel requirement at present for the reason of a mix in petrol and diesel powered equipment in both reserve and active on line
With the above, inspite of the Americans pushing against The Russian Federation, as if this was a prize fight, They also are unprepared for an emmediate combat intrusion against Russian forces.
It would appear as an aspect of reality, The Polish Government had best learn the fine art of Deplomacy in the manner understood by the Russians. With this, not to take to heart as an absolute the fines words and promises given by both NATO and the Americans.

Karl, I am not surprised. Poles are very anti-Russian now and showing it publicly is very popular.
I understand the anger over Ukraine, but can we ever as nations do anything constructive rather than destructive?

Karl, I am not surprised. Poles are very anti-Russian now and showing it publicly is very popular. I understand the anger over Ukraine, but can we ever as nations do anything constructive rather than destructive? Jaga Your reply holds such a great deal of truth and with this, a greater amount of hope, yes, hope. For what you have spoken, is my own hopes and respect for others no matter their nationality. For deep in side my conscience, has always been trust in humanity of people. For in all these many many centuries, we as people have survived with finding a neutral area of commonality in needs and compromise. This, in spite of the wars and meanness of cruelty displayed by our various militaries for what ever reason{s}. As a person, my self do hate and despise war, for it means the destruction of the fineness of what others have built. Not to mention the total destruction of the country I chose to be part of. My pride is what was and has been rebuilt better then the original, and with the people, for no matter the situation, it is still about people. Yes, we do have our respective issues, disagreements coupled with vested interest we each as a people wish to keep sacred. But the final line is: We each are a people, with all that we are, and all we can be, and all that we will be. It is all to fate/luck, and the results of what we do. Perhaps, to be overly trusting and misplacement of faith in people. Perhaps in time, this will be my final judgement at the hands of another by virtue of a mistake in personal judgment. Who knows..
