I was participating in the math school and we were analyzing different approaches to Sierpinski's carpet (or triangle), which nowadays become more popularized with the fractal theory math.bu.edu/DYSYS/chaos-game/sierp-det.GIFit is strange that we never talked at school in Poland about the achievements of Polish mathematicians. Too bad! Sierpinski was a representative of Warsaw School, not Lvov's.

Pieter, thanks for links to Polish mathematicians.
I was pretty surprised since I could not find too much information about Sierpinski in Polish sources. There is Polish Wikipedia article, but not too many memories, articles. These I found only in English materials.
