Nicetoe,
This comes close to us in Western-Europe, due to the radical element in the Berber and Arab North-African Muslim migrants from Tunesia, Algeria and Morocco in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and France. I think it is wise for Western-tourists to avoid Muslim countries and countries with significant fundamentalist islamic minority like the Phillipines, Malaysia, Indonesia and even Thailand.
And that is the intention of the terrorists, first to target these Western tourists and secondly the tourist industries of these countries. Like in the past totalitarian systems, movements and parties benefited from economical hardship, discord, internal conflicts and international tension (communism, fascism and nazism in Europe) these islamist Jihadists (of ISIS and Al Qaida) benefit from the fear, anxiety and atmosphere of threat they created.
I wonder which powers benefit from this turmoil, hardship and climate of terror? Are there certain powers that be, some powerful people, clerics, politicians, business people or sheikhs (Sultans), Ayatollah's, Mullahs and/or imamns that benefit from this. For instance because this terror attack damages Tunesia's position as a tourist destination, a place to do business in safety or a country of historical and cultural exchange?
Cheers, Pieter
