Thank you for your reply, I am happy it was of some use to you. These operational fields are interesting and not just Russian, they are also a bit risky. For not just the machines landing and support vehicles traveling about, but for high performance machines taking off. If not to notice, the back blast from the tail pipes are extremely powerful and can knock a person off their feet in an eye blink, the concret surface is not very foregiving.
Yes, this has happend to my self and it was my fault for not paying attention.
What is not provided in the video is the smell of burnt jet fuel that seem to be every where in such operations.

Thank you for introducing an opposite view of the mountain. For this is the manner of information exchange that is constructive. Yes, it is true, IS is not the only target of Russian combat missions are targeting. They are targeting the enemies of Basher al-Assad, this is includant of The Free Syrian Army. The Free Syrian Army is the right hand of US foreign policy to oust the al-Assad government in any manner possible with out using American ground forces. The stated reason is for human rights violations.
It is simply a conflict of cultural means of attainment. The Americans wish to destroy the currant Syrian government for not just the stated reason of human rights violations, but other factors are heavily envolved here that is not stated. For the Saudies hate with a vengeance, the Syrians, with their voices, Israel is not very happy with the Syrians for the past many years of conflict with Syrian Government Forces.
Now, with the Russian military on Syrian ground, with them, comes an associated concern, and that is the missils of new design complete with associated operational equipment and technitions. All that can be easly transfer to other forces in the region. This then is transferred by the Saudies and Israelies to the Americans to do some thing about this. And so, the great amount of diplomatic noise that is heard.

Good points Karl. Just like in Spain in the 30s, Syria is now a testing ground for countries like Russia, China and Iran to see how their latest military toys and tactics will work. Mr. Putin with his own alliance is showing the Europeans an alternative way out. Its just that the outcome may not be what all the parties involved expected. _

Nictoshek Thank you for your very informative reply complete with video evidence. Perhaps you noticed the use word of: Russian air bomb. Those things are a Thermobaric weapon. Or fuel air weapon. Very useful for various targets such as troops caught out in the open for very expensive to use on board machine gun ammunition, but much more effective to use a fuel air bomb rather then make various air passes over the same target. The device uses a very destructive shock wave in detenation combined with sucking out the oxygen in the emmediate area and, is very understandably high burning temperature. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermobaric_weaponA secondary advantage for the Russians, is the demonstration to potential arms customers, what is effective and available.
