Dear friends,
Ludwika Paleta (born Ludwika Paleta Paciorek on November 29, 1978 in Kraków, Poland) is a Polish-born Mexican actress and model.
A Dutch colleage of mine (a tall guy with red blond hair and blue eyes with Dutch and Suriname heritage) has a Polish girlfriend, and they live in a small town near Arnhem. He often says jokingly to me, you should have a Polish girlfriend. Fact is that in the many years that I live and work now in my country often have seen young and older couples of Dutch men and Polish girlfriends or wives. They make a good match. There is ofcourse a linguistic and cultural difference. The Dutch West-Germanic language is difficult for Polish girls and women and the Polish language is difficult for Dutch chaps, even if they are half Polish themselves.
The best thing in life is to find a partner who suits you, with whom you feel comfortable, relaxed and at home with. Nationality is not that important. Fact is though that I have met nice Polish women and girls in Warsaw, Poznań (as a 17/18 year old teenager going out to a Polish discotheque), and Krakow.
And I know that there are a lot of nice Polish women in Western-Europe and the USA (Polish-American and first generation Polish immigrants or expats). But most of them will be married or engaged. In the Netherlands there are Polish female students at universities, vocational universities, art academies, and working as expats, or new immigrants. Due to the influx of non-Western African, Middle-eastern and Eastern immigrants Polish immigrants become and became less alien, because they are blond and blue eyed people with Western clothes or Brunettes or redheads like Dutch Brunettes and Redheads.
Only their language or accent distinguishes them from the Dutch. The same will count for a Dutch person who immigrates to Poland, marries a Polish citizen in Poland or works as an expat overthere. Fact is that the Polish and Dutch cultures are related, due to the European and Christian heritage and roots of both cultures, and the fact that both nations have a history of multi-culturalism. Both countries were a save heaven for political refugees, persecuted religious people and foreign settlers. Today Poland is monocultural, but in that Polish monoculture lie some Czech-Bohemian, German, Eastern-slavic and jewish roots. And next to that a tiny little bit of Dutch, Swedish and Danish influences due to the Hanze past and the cruel devastating Swedish invasions.
Fact is that due to Globalism, free and open borders and a lot of exchange between European nations our countries will become more mixed and more European than they were. I hope that Poland can keep some of it's Roman-Catholic and Western-Slav roots though. Germanisation due to the growing influence of English and German should be avoided, without being anti-German or anti-Western. Poles should be aware of their unique Polish language, culture and heritage.
Polish women and girls are popular abroad so watch out Polish men and boys.
Cheers,
Pieter
Why you should marry a Polish girl?

Some time ago I received a few suggestions from our women readers about writing a post about the Polish women. So I though to write a post called ‘Why you should marry a Polish girl?’ – I loved the idea, so here we go.
I have been living in Poland for almost 2 years, the time here has been fantastic and the truth is that it is incredible how many times a man can fall in love in this country. From my personal point of view, these are the reasons why you should marry a Polish girl:
- They are the most beautiful, pretty and sexy woman I have ever seen
- They are really intelligent and smart – if you are a man, I´m afraid they will be smarter than you
More women running the show in Polish boardrooms 08.03.2013 13:15.
- They speak more than 1 language fluently – something good if you are a foreigner
- They are possessive (some of them do exaggerate) but being with these women you cannot say anything
- They can drink, drink and drink litres of vodka and not get drunk – I have not been able to beat them in that
- They have the secret of the eternal youth – they look like 20 years old and they might have more than 30
- They have beautiful eyes that hypnotise the bravest men
- They are really close to their families – if they live in another city they will go to visit them a lot of times during the year
- A lot of variety – tall, short, blonde, redheads, brunettes, blue eyes, green eyes, pink eyes, etc.
- They are proud of their history, culture, language and country
- They are really open to new things and new people
- They love to dance – one advantage for all the Latino guys (and for me, because I love dancing too!
- They know how to cook – well, not all of them, but you can always order a pizza
- They dress and make up like top models
