I found it interesting that DiCaprio met pope privately. Both have Italian roots. DiCaprio gave the pope a book by Bosch, who is a very interesting painter from Pieter's Netherlands..... and they were talking about the environment. www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2016/01/28/pope-francis-to-meet-leonardo-dicaprio/DiCaprio gave the Pope a book of works by Hieronymus Bosch Actor Leonardo DiCaprio met Pope Francis this morning and was presented with leather-bound copies of the Pope’s two encyclicals. The film star, a passionate environmentalist like Pope Francis, thanked the Pope in Italian for the meeting and kissed his ring. He offered Francis a book of works by the 15th-century Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch, and pointed to a reproduction of a triptych that hung over his crib when he was a child. The triptych, “ The Garden of Earthly Delights”, shows the Garden of Eden on one side and the Last Judgment on the other and a landscape of bodies in the middle. By the way, I hope that DiCaprio would finally get an Oscar. He deserves it this time.

Bit scary these paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, there is a large exhibition of his paintings in the Museum of Den Bosch right now, the city which is in his name.

Bosch is fascinating. He is scary but not in a militaristics way.
