Military Police Patrol Public Places in Warsaw After Attack in BerlinPolish military police have begun patrolling public places in Warsaw along with city police forces following the truck attack in Berlin, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said Thursday. WARSAW (Sputnik) — On Monday, a truck rammed into the crowd at a Berlin Christmas market on the Breitscheidplatz square, killing 12 people and injuring over 40 others. "We are in the pre-holiday time, people are shopping in shopping malls, travel. In this regard, the military gendarmerie, together with the Polish police patrol railway stations, airports, shopping malls, Warsaw underground. We are talking about safety here," Blaszczak said. He stressed that local law enforcement was ready to provide the security for the citizens as contrasted with Germany where such patrols were absent.

J.J.
It is good that the polish police have placed a heavy presence in public areas such as in Warsaw. For Poland is not exactly exempt from violence perpetrated by such idiots as in the recent incident in Berlin.
Yes, Mr. Blaszczak is quite correct, there was a lack in number of Polizei in Berlin at time of incident. Not through negligence, but simply a shortage of officers as assigned to other locations. It is in this manner that their simply is not enough officers to cover ever nick and corner and those that committe such atrocities know this and look for the weak areas for their strike points.

Karl, John,
the police in Poland is NOT because of the terrorists but because of the show of a power by a right wing government against the protest by a part of minority of parliament. PLEASE, DONT MIX UP TERRORIST WITH RADICAL RIGHT IN POLAND....
this strange explanation is just an excuse, since as I said, THE POLICE PRESENCE WAS HUGE BEFORE THE ATTACK TO INTIMIDATE THE PUBLIC AND OPPOSITION
