Angela Merkel is a natural leader of EU. I wish her well with the visit in Poland. I hope she could influence positively PIS, the ruling populistic and nationalistic party of Kaczynski's www.thenews.pl/1/10/Artykul/289070,German-Chancellor-Merkel-to-visit-Poland-Polish-ruling-party German Chancellor Merkel to visit Poland: Polish ruling party 16.01.2017 10:58 German Chancellor Angela Merkel is to visit Poland for talks at the invitation of Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło, a spokeswoman for the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party has said. Asked about reports that the visit will take place on 7 February, PiS press spokeswoman Beata Mazurek told public broadcaster TVP Info: "That is the date reported by one newspaper." She added: "My information is that such a visit is in fact being prepared.” Mazurek said dialogue with Germany was important, adding: "When there is dialogue, there is a chance for cooperation to be better, for assessments of the Polish government... by the German media to be better. "That's what we saw recently... one German newspaper said that dialogue with [PiS leader] Jarosław Kaczyński, for instance, should move to a completely different level, because... we're a party which won the elections and that must be accepted." Law and Justice swept to power in a landslide parliamentary election win in late 2015.

I hope this will be a positive, constructive and succesful meeting between the Polish and German leaders. Despite the differences they are important political, financial-economical, military and cultural partners in Europe.

Dialog is most always a good thing, especially between heads of state and/or their representatives. With this, there is a reason for every thing that is a driving force. In this case, there are as it appears to be, two very good reasons for this visit. For one reason, is to mend fences created from Jaroslaw Kaczynski bending very hard on Chancellor Merkel on the situation of open door policy in past with the Muslum refugee situation. The other, is he wishes for Brussels to get off his back with refusal to take in their {Poland} share of refugees. In this case, he {Kaczynski} has burnt his bridges with Brussels in past issues and now leaves it up to Beata Szydlo to carry forth. It is fairly well known that Beata Szydlo has no love of travel to other states, with this, was a disappointment last years with putting of for 100 days, before her visit to Berlin. In the diplomatic circles, this is a bit of insult with such heads of state. Perhaps Chancellor Merkel, PM Beata Szydlo President Andrzejl and Jaroslaw Kaczynski will come together with some sort of remedy for at least a resolution that may profit both Poland and Germany for they do have some work infront of them to mend up these fences. www.reuters.com/article/us-poland-politics-germany-idUSKBN15C07Wpoland.pl/politics/foreign-affairs/chancellor-angela-merkel-humbled-during-warsaw-visit/Karl
