I like these swinging songs Karl. In the Netherlands we had the Star Sisters 45. They sang covers of the Andrew Sisters.

Pieter
I am happy you enjoyed swing music, for I was risking that perhaps you would. my early years in the British occupation, swing music was very common from both The UK and Germany with the American occupational forces and the Brits.
I do like best the Yiddish version of," Bei Mir bist du schejn. The American version was ok, but the other, well yes.
Ever so often whilst browsing, is to run across some gems such as the swing music with then risking to share with hope they will be enjoyed. This is such a complexity for liking such old music styles and yet with a strong dislike of old style buildings, narrow village streets that seem to attract tourist. As with the opposite of bombed out areas that have been rebuilt with modern high efficient buildings and motor ways.

The following is of," Post Modern Juke Box ". A bit of vintage Klezmer with some added Yiddish in the manner of previous addition by Pieter.

J.J. Thank you for that nice rendition, as of your self, also do I enjoy..Not to be a bore with the past, but, whilst growing up during first the German occupational authority, followed by the Brits. We had a very good battery {24 volt} Zenith radio with a large selection dial and short wave. It was powerful enough to pick some Swiss stations. But mainly from the English stations of the BBC and the military Armed Forces Radio. Since we were Dansk and under Germany Occupation forces, we were not charge the radio tax as in Germany. But, some Military people did inspect our set and placed a warning tag on it {Volksempfänger- this was the warning tag: Listening to foreign," Feindsender}", radio stations is punishable}. What the military people were checking is if we needed one of their radios, which we did not need. www.transdiffusion.org/2008/01/07/hitlers_radioBut with my self and my two cousins, at night to save the battery, we would listen to the hot music from the English transmitters and dance to music very simular to our topic music. We did not know the swing dance style until the British Occupation forces arrived. Since then to the present, has been my personal fondness for the happy music of swing. Karl

J.J.
Thank you for introducing," Some Thing Different", it is indeed different. Once past the comic characters then once in to the music and lyrics, the music makes sense.
I have never heard of this band, their sound is very British, do you think so?

J.J.
I could be on the wrong page in the wrong book, but appearances, Moby in the stead of illustrating his band as individuals and as a group, is using comic characters as the representatives. In this manner as to bring in to focuse the theme of the core of his music such as this last production of: The helplessness of the individual lost in the sea of humanity being of derived of his own will, but to the will of others by the force of their dominating nature.
Or, perhaps I am reading too much in to his production..
