Some of you have mentioned and recommended R. Strybel's big tome of Polish cuisine and I noticed he's written another cookbook, Polish Holiday Cookery.
Does anyone have this and is it different from his big cookbook? Amazon is offering a discount if they're purchased together, and I'd like to know if it's worth getting both.

I have a holliday cookery but I do not have anything else by Strybel. It has thousands of recipes literally. I use it sometimes, I did my sorrel soup based on his recipe. I am pretty sure that this book is similar to his other books, it does not have any pictures etc. but it has tremendous amount of information, but proabably to a big degree the same as the other books. It does have some extra information about the food for different ocasions.
Susan, I will write extra info about Strybel in the host forum, come and see

Jaga, I don't have access to the host forum, so unfortunately I can't read your message there, but if this cookbook is probably largely the same as the other one, I won't bother with it. I have way too many cookbooks as it is, and was just looking for one good one with Polish recipes. That's all I need now.
