Brazilian music seems always the touch of life. For it reaches in to our selves as soothing as a mothers touch. If the day has been long, inner energy is short, to then simply escape for a few minutes with these Brazilian songs as rendered by equally lovely ladies as their music.
The following is a consideration of culture, ahhm please to concentrate upon culture, not so much on the scanty clad ladies.

They say that Brazilian Portuguese sounds different than the Portuguese of Portugal with some Southern-American Spanish infuences and that it has more temperament.

Yes, there are even books for Brazilian Portuguese specifically. People in Brazil say the same. Their culture is so attractive than even Portuguese king loved living in Brazil.
Brazilian tradition is worldwide known - like samba and carnival. Portuguese art is not really known outside Portugal.

Pieter and Jaga There is as you say, some differences between Brazilian and Portuguese mainly in some words but the spelling is same, for the reason it is the same language. Brazilian is more soft in speaking then national Portuguese and for at least my self, a bit more understandable. I say this for the reason of my Spanish is the Rio Plata {Rioplatense} of Argentine/Uruguay accent. If not spoken fast, it is not too difficult to understand Brazilian and for that matter Portuguese.
