The world is very divided. Americans see the American news and don't know what is taking place in European capitals, in Africa, the Middle-east, Asia, Southern-America, and the rest of the world. THe USA and Israel may have strong bomds, they are isolated in the US move to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. They are entitled to do so, but in doing so they enraged the Palestinians, the Arab states, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indian Muslims, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Turks, Bosnians and other Muslims who are part of the world wide 1 billion Muslims.
A two state solution was centered around East-Jerusalem, the Westbank, and Gaza for the Palestinians. Now the 2 state solution is far away for them. Why, because a two state solution is impossible today with such a small and partitioned, fractured Palestinian territory.

I don't think a Palestinian state is reasonable, practical and livable today. Millions of Palestinians live outside Palestine in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Saoudi-Arabia, Kuwayt, Iraq, Tunesia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and in Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia. They will never be able to return, because there is to little space for them and the Palestinians of the Westbank, Gaza and the Israeli's don't want them back in the area of former British Palestine. So, a solution is very hard today, and conflict and tension will stay and probably become stronger.
I wonder if there will be a Third Intifada?
