Pieter, these pictures are from the war times in Poland but you are right, my aunt Elizabeth had something from these three beautiful ladies. Here is aunt Elizabeth with her fiancee - before he was taken away and died in German camp:

Dear Jaga,
This is sad, very sad, but I hope that they had a good time before he was arrested and taken away. Why was he taken away and where did they take him to. Do you know that? I am sorry that these lives of these wonderful young people was broken. A Polish aunt of mine from Warsaw was taken away to Auschwitz concentration camp during a Ĺ‚apanka in Warsaw in the beginning of the war. She spend her young teenage years in a female section of that notorious camp. Not a normal way to grow up for a young woman. She was 'liberated' by the Red army.
There is somethjng of togetherness in this photo, a natural unity between these young people. A natural couple, who belong together. Such sort of feeling I get when I see them. Cosy and relaxed and happy they look together. Really a wonderful image of that handsome young couple Jaga. It is so sad that the happiness of this nice young couple was broken so soon.
Cheers, Pieter
