Dear friends, This spiritual, meditative, soothing and comfortable, Mindfullness music has a special meaning for me, because it played a role in activities I did past 6 years with a great woman and her work with groups of people (from who I am one of them). During weeks in the Ardennes mountains in the white meditation tent at Camping Wesertal of Birgitt and Claudia at Rue de l'Invasion 68 B - 4837 Baelen-Membach, in the Liège Province (Province de Liège) in the German part of Wallonia in the Belgium, and during weekends in the former monastery buikding The Refter in Ubbergen, in the province Gelderland, near Nijmegen city. This long song was played during group work, meditations, massages, inquiries (two people discussions in which one person asks a deep question and listens to the answer of the other one, and repeats the same question if the other wishes too). And during group days like yesterday (saturday) in which the same kind of things happen like during that weeks and weekends. The great woman and her work with groups of people, of whom I (Pieter) is one of them. I know 'Anugama - Sweetness Of The Earth', because she used this music during her weekends, weeks and days with group work. When I listen to this music I get flesh backs to that group workshops and group work and activities and meditations in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, , 2017, 2018 and 2019. I see faces, I hear breathing, I see open people, frankness, and feel togetherness and see no boundaries. Cheers, Pieter Sources:www.camping-wesertal.com/welcom-nlwww.derefter.nl/pages/en/welcome.php?lang=ENwww.raak-arnhem.nl/raak-body.php?sc=raak&ve=&tc=nl&hf=4&pa=7&sp=0

Dear people,
I live in a macho masculin world of cameramen, heavy tv camera's and tripods, and batteries, competition, stress, political rivalries (I follow local politics) and the society of a city in which there is a lof of dualism and antithesis and hidden suffering and strife too. Rich vs poor, native Dutch vs migrants, migrants vs migrants, local native Dutch vs import native Dutch of other provinces, cities, towns and villages. Therefor I searched for and found a counterbalance to deal with the tensions and anxieties I was faced with in my work. I this activities or work of Mindfulness, meditation, certain Yoga exercises, group work, self work I find some peace of mind. Because I am a 20th century based masculine being, connected to an old progenitoral family complex that goes many centuries back and has deep layers in the Dutch and Polish societies. I have old family and family that is rooted in 'Old Europe', and I carry the values, tension and culture of that old Europe in me. That tension and pressure is in me. The Family clan, the family tribe, the family branch, my genes, my blood, my heritage, my culture, the battle (Kampf) for survival, my aims, my desires, my intens desire in certain fields. Cultural, artistic, social, journalistic, historical, present and future aims. The only reason for us as human beings to be here is to be part of the large social construct, to give our share to the total, to contribute, to work for a better environment in our own environment. Tikkun olam the jews call it.
Tikkun olam (Hebrew: תיקון עולם "repair of the world") is a concept in Judaism, interpreted in Orthodox Judaism as the prospect of overcoming all forms of idolatry, and by other Jewish denominations as an aspiration to behave and act constructively and beneficially. “Tikkun olam ” (Hebrew for “world repair”) has come to connote social action and the pursuit of social justice. Today, tikkun olam has come to be understood broadly as the individual’s responsibility to change and improve the world for himself, for others, and for future generations. It involves the fulfillment of mitzvot (commandments) and the carrying out of tzedakah (justice or righteousness) as well as acts of g’milut hasadim (acts of loving kindness). Helping those in need, visiting the sick, comforting mourners, practicing hospitality and philanthropy are all examples of holy work.
In the history of American social welfare, charitable works have often grown out of religious beliefs — beliefs that inspired reformers to deep compassion, firm ethical convictions, and a strong sense of justice.
As described in 1 Corinthians 13:13 of the Christian scriptures, the three theological virtues are faith, hope, and charity. Charity is repeatedly translated as “love,” and is the virtue by which Christians demonstrate their love of God above all things (Catholic Social Teaching, n.d.). Life and Dignity of the Human Person: All people are sacred and made in the image and likeness of God. The human person is both sacred and social, and when one suffers, we all suffer. People have a fundamental right to life, food, shelter, health care, education, and employment. The moral test of a society is how it treats its most vulnerable members. The economy exists to serve people, not the other way around. We are called to work globally for justice.
To followers of the Social Gospel, Christian Socialism represented the interconnectedness of individual and societal welfare to the Bible’s mandate to love others (Fitzgerald, 2011). Likewise, those involved in the Social Gospel movement refuted Social Darwinism; greed, rather than the personal failings of the “unfit” resulted in marginalization and inequality (Bateman, 2009). Thus, this form of socialism acted as a middle ground between an individualist and collectivist society (Fitzgerald, 2011).
I think there is a lot of healing to do in this world, a lot of mental, physical and materialistic damage has to be repaired. The last three decades due to my life in the world of fine art and culture, health care and local journalism (Radio and TV) I have seen and witnessed a lof of suffering, broken people, hurt people, damaged people. And I searched, searched, searched and searched for answers for the injustice, harshness, brutal nature, viciousness, inhumane, cold, callous, heartless, indifferent, insensitive and cynical nature of this world with extremely rich people one one side and extreme poor people on the other side. I am not a socialist, nor a communist, conservative or classical liberal. I have my own position in the world.
I do believe that the tools of a better world, a better present and a better future are very near, but that powers in the West, East and South prevent improvement, due to benefits of wars, civil wars, contrabande, fraud, corruption, nepotism, arms trade and vested interests.
I turn to meditation, Mindfulness and certain aspects of Body Balance and Pilates to get some peace of mind, mental balance and physical fitness.
Cheers, Pieter
