For decades, Francophones and Anglophones lived in relative harmony. But a crackdown on English speakers has fueled support for a secessionist movement. www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2019/world/cameroon-anglophone-crisis/?utm_term=.655c9e9dea8c

Jaga An unfortunant situation evolving from the long past union of two former colonies of the larger former French and the smaller of the two being British. On the surface, the issue of language has the sound of simply nonsense but in reality there are much larger issues involved. This area of West Africa has a bad location between some years past of civil wars that were very far reaching such as The Congo {Democratic Republic Congo}, Angola, Zambia and Namibia. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/18/nation-divided-tensions-mount-cameroon-english-speakers-marginalisedby/It will be time and events as to the outcome of such a issue. Hopefully, this will be resolved in good time with out bloodshed. With this, a situation with out the interference of out side forces such as South Africa, Russia and the USA involvement. For this would entail an opportunity for each to use this time of weakness of the Cameroon government in currant disarray to influence their brand of political power. With this, sales of replacement equipment and weapons used up in the case of an armed conflict. Karl

Jaga This split over language is very simular to the past language issue in Canada with Quebec.. At one time, this issue almost split The Provence of Quebec from greater Canada. global-lingo.com/quebecs-language-conflict/Karl
