Hi folks - - this is just John here to tell you that fall has fallen. The temperature, Saturday night, in places here in New Hampshire, were in the frost levels at a number of locations. This morning at 6:AM it was 42 degrees F. Been up to the Lancaster Fair and many trees are beginning to turn color. At the beer tent it was obvious many participants were turning color too. My son is in training to become a commercial helicopter pilot and instructor. The company he is associated with was giving rides on their choppers. Many a beautiful vista was observed this weekend. Saw a number of moose and a great number of wild turkey and a couple of black bear. Several people have observed and reported 'mountain lion tracks' in the vicinity. Nothing unusual as they have been in this area for years. My wife has a new adventure for this year. We have a dozen Guinea Fowl, 6 Rhode Island Reds and 6 Bard Rock hens free ranging. Were missing one Guinea hen and one Bard Rock hen. We have signs of coyote here and sometimes can hear them in the night. We had a person call and tell us we have wild turkeys running around our property. I informed him it was our Guinea hens. He insisted he knew the difference. Well, who am I to tell one person that their hallucination is not real. My own appear real to me!!! Got our tractor back Saturday so I need to mow today. See you all later.

Fall is falling around here too, with many of the "early turning" trees already picking up some color. This happens every year around late August-early September but even so, it's still a shock to see summer end so abruptly!
