Dear fellow Forum members,
I wish the christian and jewish Forum members a happy easter and Happy Easter and Chag Sameach Pesach. "chag kasher v'same'ach" (חַג כָּשֵׁר וְשָׂמֵחַ)
Easter, also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, you (we) commemorate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD.
It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent (or Great Lent), a 40-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
With Good Friday (today) before Easter christians remember the suffering of Jesus Christ.
Have pitty with me, o Lord!
Cheers, Pieter

Pieter, thanks for Easter wishes for all of us. I was coming back from from work and the radio said also that today is Jewish Pesah day. It does not happen every year like that.
I will be doing my cooking tomorrow. I was trying to keep strict diet today, although I did not go to the Church. We usually do it on Sunday. Today was the first really warm day in Idaho. It felt good. How is weather over there in the Netherlands? What about Pueblo Mexico and Alaska and New Jersey?
