But I will miss the poetic sound and power of the petrol and Diesel engines of the old polluting cars of course. The power and the grace of the Rolls RoyceFerrari of a British lord who drives the Ferrari on his own large estateThe same guy who drove the Rolls Royce drove the Ferrari. He is a British car enthoususiast who owns dozens of special cars on his estate.I like the perfectionism, technology, style, design, technology and the mix of sophistication and animalist power of British and Italian cars. They have something American cars don't have. I don't get warm of most American cars, except the Ford GT40, Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger. Ofcpourse the Lincoln Continental has some charm too. P.S.- Political incorrect Pieter.

Crash is a 1996 Canadian/British drama thriller film written and directed by David Cronenberg based on the J. G. Ballard 1973 novel of the same name. It tells the story of a group of people who take sexual pleasure from car accidents, a notable form of paraphilia.

Pieter,
what an interesting distraction from the reality is this movie with big lincoln cars from 70s about people chasing other people in cars for their own pleasure... while there is so much traffic around. It all feels like a highschool, but it is worse. I think 70s were just perfect years for their big cars consuming plenty of gas obsession.

Pieter
The videos all were interesting, I was though, to enjoy the Tesla video for it did demonstrate the vast difference between Petrol powered machines over electric. For the otto cycle and for that matter, the Diesel are at a disadvantage against the Electric motor powered Tesla. For the electric motor power is instant from start up to go, whilst the Otto cycle petrol powered cars {Auto} must develop RPM up to the point in their design to develop their best power. It is just the nature of the beast is all..
For with the Electric batter pack power such as the Tesla, it is surely a master of instant acceleration and quiet cruse, it is at a disadvantage to distance travel with out a recharge. For as with the petrol powered vehicle, just a quick petrol stop and then zoom zoom away..
Some years past, I was the proud owner of a DKW and even with the 2 cycle motor, once to become used to noise of the 3 cylinder moter, it was fun to drive. Mine was a different colour then the following url, as it was dark blue black colour. The exhaust of course spitted blue smoke dependant upon the oil/petrol mix was done.
The following is a show of different models in as as well as a Trabi from the old DDR time.

Good old days Karl, when a car still looked like a car.

Crash (1996 film)Crash is a 1996 Canadian-British psychological thriller film written and directed by David Cronenberg based on J. G. Ballard's 1973 novel of the same name. It tells the story of a group of people who take sexual pleasure from car crashes. The film stars James Spader, Deborah Kara Unger, Elias Koteas, Holly Hunter, and Rosanna Arquette. The film generated considerable controversy upon its release and opened to mixed and highly divergent reactions from critics. While some praised the film for its daring premise and originality, others criticized its combination of graphic sexuality and violence. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received the Special Jury Prize, a unique award that is distinct from the Jury Prize as it is not given annually, but only at the request of the official jury (for example, the previous year, both a Jury Prize and a Special Jury Prize were awarded). When then jury president Francis Ford Coppola announced the award "for originality, for daring and for audacity," he stated that it had been a controversial choice and that certain jury members, "did abstain very passionately."[4] The award has not been given since. It received six Genie Awards from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, including awards for Cronenberg as director and screenwriter; the film was also nominated in two further categories, including Best Picture.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_(1996_film)This was one of the epic movies of the nineties I saw in the Dutch and Belgian cinema's. Crash (1996), Lost Highway, Leaving Las Vegas, Happiness (1998 film), Magnolia (1999), Fight Club (1999), American Beauty (1999 film) and Eyes Wide Shut (1999).
