Chris,
I do not like Walmarts also. We go there only when we have to...

Carts in the neighborhood....that's a common site. the high school kids would pull pranks and give their buddies a shopping cart from Walmart on their front lawns along with orange road construction cones and saw horses(barriers). Then the unsuspecting buddy would have to find something to do with the cart. Now on the other hand, I knew a few old ladies that would wheel their Walmart sacks home in a cart to their apartments. In a larger city that may not be acceptable, but in a rural town, no one would think twice about it.
Strayed carts keep homeless people's belongings all together. We had a vagrant live in the field behind our house-he used a few shopping carts to build a shelter and covered it over with a holey plastic tarp. His other possessions included an upside down sofa, a 5 gallon bucket stuffed with various clothing and assorted shoes. Not much you can do for a man who chooses to live "under the stars." I did call the local authorities to get help for the man, but they said the man moves each time someone tries to help him. Joyce
