I would say we have experienced thundersnow at least once a season for the past several years - can't pin it down exactly. I myself have not seen the lightning but you can't miss the thunder.

That is a dangerous place you live in! I do not mind thunder, it is the lightening that is frightening, where it strikes is very independent upon whelm.
Once whilst by happen chance, I was looking at a tree on a small hill top, it was struck by a lightening bolt near the top, the strike continued down in a flash to the base of the tree and flashed the entire tree into flames. It burned for a few hours before being extinguished by a heavy rain pour.
Since that time so long ago, I have given lightening a very broad amount of respect.
