It's Christmas time and we should think peace. This is why the Turkish invasion of Iraq is so offensive. Turkey should have more restraint and more sensitivity for the Christians! If they are unable to show it now, what will they do when they join the European Union? In the Turks, America has found an unwanted "bombing partner." This is another outrage. We should rebuilt Iraq, not bomb it! Turkey is defying not just the EU, but the U.S. Here is what I would do: I would coordinate with the European Union a joint response to Turkey. I would tell them: from this moment on, for every violation of the Iraqi border, your entry in the EU will be delayed by one year. On the American side, I would freeze all arms sales to Turkey until they respect the Iraqi sovereignty! This is how I would deal with Turkey for violating the Christmas peace!

troubledgoodangel,
Than God you are not in charge. But Merry Christmas to you anyway. I don't think the Turks know from Christmas.

I like the Turks.
Sobieski should have helped them wreck Vienna.

I used to like Turks since they seem to respect Poland as a country even when it lost independence. But when I read later on how much Turks influenced negatively Europe - occupied parts of Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Greece... I am glad that Poland was just too far from Turks.
I wonder whether there is any chance to Kurds to get independence.
