Probably the majority of you heard about the newly released movie by Speilberg "Munich" about killing Israeli sportsmen during Munich olympic.
There is a Polish connection to this movie, what is it?

Jaga...
Man...this is a tough one! Do I need to see the movie to be able to answer? Or may I just keep researching it?

All right! I think this is what you are after, Jaga And, BTW, how did you know this? From: TERRORISM - OLD AND NEW THREATS IN POLAND written by Andrzej BA£ABAN and Karol S£AWIK, University of Szczecin (no date recorded) www.prawo.lex.pl/czasopisma/znusrp/terror.html"Some Arabic terrorist groups still present potential threat. Their representatives, as it was signaled previously, stayed often in Poland and probably they still maintain contacts. It should be remainded the case of shooting Abu Daud (supposedly one of the top Munich terriosts; couldn't be caught for the longest time), one of the most dangerous terrorist, in the centrum of Warsaw, at Victoria Hotel in 1981. There is also information that Samir Hassan Nazmedin carried flourishing trade of weapons and the notorious terrorist Abu Nidal stayed in Poland for a year. Lately, some signals appeared that possibly some terrorists were trained in Poland. Being very optimistic that the domestic terrorism will not develop, we can still assume that many extremist groups in Poland will make contacts with the terrorists from the other countries. Poland can also become an easy transit place for different groups, transportation of weapons and another threatening means. Representatives of the Polish State Protection Office (amongst, prof. Jerzy Konieczny) remind criminologists about the tread coming from post Soviet Union nationalism and nationalism in the past East Germany..."

Gardenmoma, very good research. Yes, a top Munich terrorist somehow ended up in hotel Victoria in Warsaw and then he was shot there. They did not kill him there - he survived but still. This happened a couple of weeks after Munich olympics and only one Polish newspaper wrote something about it and this was just a couple of days later. It is hard to imagine that some of these terroristic groups infiltrated even to Poland! I agree with you, this was a tough question. You should receive some extra price:

Very beautiful! Thank you From: Spiegel Online- English Site service.spiegel.de/cache/international/spiegel/0,1518,397183-2,00.html "At least one of the three Munich murderers, Jamal al-Gashey, survived somewhere in Africa. The Mossad commandos never managed to catch him or Abu Daud, the mastermind behind the Olympic attack. He became a pacifist and presumably lives in Syria today."
