Dear all,
As previously was my humble opinion, I would still strongly suggest, one people, one forum, all for one, one for all.
Also, might I suggest this: There are no KGB!!! period..and no CIA period!!
We are simply just people, with a common idea of cultural exchange of ideas and life. That is all...
And of course, I do side with Jaga, she has joined forces with Nancy, they have both faced, with out doubt (Zweifel), the most formidable odds and many hours of sacrifice, to just make this happen.
I, as a person, do appreciate their work. Why? because I am by nature, a lazy butt and will take the easy way out.
Three gin tonics, well, if just three gin tonics, let us just make it five and forget this entire loused world.
In other words, dear friends, if you take one step over the line, then it is loused, you will be contaminated from that one step on.
Keep the faith, keep your worth, only then, will you be true to your selves and others.

Charles, You are very eloquent after those gin & tonics! I agree that "we are simply just people" - there is no "they" only an "us" or "we." (ha ha I have had some wine for dinner ) Jaga has done 500% more work than I have - and her articles on the website are proof of that. culture.polishsite.us/She has been very kind to include me in her journey. Na zdrowie!

Dear Nancy, Please not to under rate your self. You are a very important ingrediant in the total make up of the forum. The sum total of your contributed efferts, is self evident in the results...It is completed, and we are all together! A bit of wine, a loaf of bread, and thou. Was that not what of Omar Khayyam? Or, of this as a bit of truth: Khayyam, if you are intoxicated with wine, enjoy: If you are seated with a lover of thine, enjoy! In the end, the void the whole world employ. imagine thou art not, while waiting in line, enjoy. www.okonlife.com/pics/pic3.htmCharles

Haaa, so, Jaga, it is about time. Please to join our little interlude here, I only suppose it was: The Wine, Gin, and Omar Khayyam (from the Farsi)
Why not for us to lay blame upon the Iranians for this?

Charles,
My screen also changed to pink, lavender and orange - we must be having the same hallucination - maybe more wine would help?
How does Jaga make the words scroll across the screen? Hmm, maybe it *is* time to shut off the computer....

The Ockham's razor works while conctructing or discussing A THEORY, and does not apply here very well ----> it is surely not Ockham who said that 'entities shouldn't be multiplied beyond neccesity The later is the KISS principle, legitimately cited already by Charles. And I have to agree that acting against KISS is - naturally in my understanding only - the weakest point of making more subboards. Nonetheless with the present amount of posts in the forum, it is the KISS principle that starts working FOR making additional subboards ('Russia' or, if you don't like it 'Eastern Europe' or whatever, to start with). I think however that there must be some way to somehow divide the different threads , if we don't want to start loosing readers/writers who want more then just the small talk we all, just like the undersigned, like and practice. It becomes more and more difficult (just like in BellaForums) to get to the thread one's especially interested in, especially that the threads 'go down' the list and 'disappear' and often get forgotten in the 'subpages'. I am sure that with the outstanding set of minds gathered here and democratically oriented hosts (thank you Jaga, I know that herding cats is not easy at all! such a way could be found, if we one day agree that it turned out neccesary. I agree that making just one separate subboard entitled 'RUSSIA' wouldn't perhaps look very adequately concerning the content of the forum TODAY, but my idea was to promote the discussion, encourage Eric and others to talk about the culture so intertwined with the Polish one. I don't think we should bother 'how it looks like' , if we do it for other reasons than 'isolation' or 'silly nationalistic purposes'. And the reasons are exactly the opposite. THe reasons are related to the present state of the matters, when Eric tries to 'defend' Russia using propaganda, and incites just unfriendly remraks about Russia. The whole complicated set of the matters is reduced to the shallow outer surface of politics, with addition to some stereotypes.

Piwo, please excuse me. Of course you didn't speak about ethicity. My fault entirely. I mean that subfolder Russia is not exlusive at all, as Russia houses many ethicities and the culture of Russia is not limited to any natioanlity. In the same way as the Polish Culture Site as it is here is as inclusive as can be.

Maybe instead of Russian folder we should have communistic folder to talk about good and not so good old comuna (communistic) times
