Hi Folks,
I got this e-mail this evening from a Polish student, and I hope that some of you (especially the Americans under you) can help this young woman. I am not an America expert, and know very little about American history or politics. I would appreciate it very much if you help her. Thank you!
Pieter

There are lots of books about JFK. Just Google. His father was a bootlegger in the 20's and was ambassador to England, I believe. I don't think he helped Poland much. This is from my emory so you may need to research this. Also JFK wrote a book and the title escapes me at the moment.

Kennedy was really loved in Poland, there were also some books written about his life after his death which is unusual considering that he was american president and we were officially pro-Soviet.

My guess is that Kennnedy was loved in Poland because he was Catholic. I doubt he had any influence about Poland in general. America . as in general about any country will only be interested in you if you have something to give, Otherwise forget it, those are the facts. The only relation Poland had with Kennedy was religion!

George,
How about Joe Kennedy the dad. He was ambassador to England at the time. I think he played a part in the dealing with Poland

I believe that Jackie Kennedy's sister was maried to a Polish Prince. Maybe that is some connection. Lee Radziwil (Prince Radziwil) Not sure if I got the spelling correct.
