Will anyone be watching the Oscars tonight. I watch it very year since I can remember. My favorite host so far has been Billy Crystal. Lets see what Jon Stewart can do.
We will be routing for our own fairhaired homeboy Phillip Hoffman for Capote.

I like John Stewart, he is very good. I am curious who would win the Oscar. Did any of you saw: "Good Night and Good Luck"? What do you think?

We won. I am so happy for PSH for winning as best actor. I did not see Capote yet but have seen him in other films and think he is a great actor.
I was very diappointed in Jon Stewart as a host. I think he was a bomb and couple of his lines were I thought inapproriate for that time of night . There are still families out there watching at 8pm when it started. (remark when Clooney won)
I thought Jennifer Lopez looked bad with that God awful tan. She almost looked black. Maybe the colour of her dress added to it. Then I fell asleep and woke up in time for Best picture which I did see and like alot but was surprised it won. Im glad Brokeback Mt did not get it. (only because I would have felt it was due to controversy rather than best picture) Some years are good and some make you wonder why you are watching. ( I gave this one 3 yawns)

I watched Oscars with one eye. I was glad that this gay cowboy movie did not won the main prize though... just like you Chris
I cannot analyze too much of the movies because I did not see them! As for Jon Stewart - I think he was trying to make the audience more aware that the world watch them. Maybe Jon Stewart is a bit too smart for this audience also? I do not think he cares for all these actors and actresses, he always tends to go to politic track rather.

I did not watch. I herded cattle years ago and never met a gay cowboy. And Clooney is just Looney.

Have you seen "The Crash"? For me the film is not so much about racism as it is about misjudging people. Here in Poland there are so few foreigners and people of different races that the racial issues are almost non-existent. The film is worth seeing, I recommend it.

Zooba, not everywhere in Poland you do not see races - if you walk in market square in Krakow, you see all sort of people, all races, the variety of fashion styles

Racism was created to justify cheap labor. IMO it's a poor, problematic investment.
