The Canadians are talented and have given us a lot of entertainment and good music (but also Pam Anderson on the down side. We are quite good at producing our own sleaze).
Chatting on line with my 17 year old singer-cousin in Slovakia, she identified Christina Aguilera as her current favorite music. So there is a still-wrapped CD sitting next to the computer awaiting our flight to Europe tomorrow night... guess i will first hear her voice in Slovakia!

Chris Ok, it was a valiant effort, it did come up fine, but at only 32 kbs, my equipment is just not up to the load. Darn, Darn, Darn But, not all was lost, her back ground motion was good Nelly is a very attractive young ladie {now did this observation make me a dirty, nasty obscene, smelly old goat?} What do you think of Gordon Lightfoot? I just merged three albums onto one tape of him. His music reminds me of the Saskatchewan prairies. Thank you again for thinking of my plight in music, and I like music. Charles

Charles...If you could read mind mind love what tale my thoughts could tell.... Of course. Did not realize he is a Canadian Boy like you. LOL Lots of great songs. Do you have a CD player.
Kai...Christine seems to be getting better since she got married. Although she has a great voice and I liked her songs..I hated her person...always trashy looking when she is an attractive girl. Seems she has cleaned up her act alot and everyone is noticing. Much more talented than her mousekeer trailer trash buddy Brittany. Now that girl is hopeless.

Ok, today IS my last full day< I fly a bit before midnight Sunday & get into Frankfurt very early Tuesday. Right now it looks like 5 days Germany, 3-4 days Czechia, 8 days Slovakia, another 2-3 days Czechia and the last 5 days in Germany. Most all of my time will be visiting friends in Germany and family inthe other two countries.
Yes Jaga, i am hoping to see Krakow and have a thin book I am taking with me ...
otherwise the purpose is Christmas in Slovakia, and a quiet birthday there (not telling the cousins) before returning ... I have done this trip before and it is about 3000 km round trip, or 1800 miles... Right now it looks like my transportation will be the old car of my goddaughter's sister, and it will be scrapped after I am done with it. I may suggest they keep it until sumer time (at my expense) & I will drive it to Lithuania and give it to a friend on my way to tour the Baltics, St Petersburg & a conference in Finnland. Unfortunately Czechia and Slovakia have laws against importing cars older than 5 years into the country, or I could give it to family.
Kai Now to break off and start packing...

Rdywenur,
Nelly Furtado is a very nice Portugese-Canadian women and singer, but my taste is a little bit less commercial. I prefer P.J. Harvey, Kim Gordon, Dresden Dolls, Pavement, and that kind of Indie stuff.
Thursday evening and night (23.00-1.00 hours) I saw a phantastic documentry about Madonna, in which she looked mature, intelligent and very human. I love that lady, although it is commercial music (an exeption in my taste).

Pieeter, I meant you would think she is hot..... I love Madonna also. She is my favorite female singer. I caught her on HSN (a shopping cbhannel) yesterday by accident. I was buzzing by the channels and she was on (well her spokesperson was selling) in an interview. She is selling her new book. An audio comes with it and on the cover she looks like Evita. www.hsn.com/cnt/sf/default.aspx?sf=ty&attr=3460&prev=hp!sf&rid=929 heope this brings you there. Im surprised that QVC didn't snag her.

Chris Yes, yes,{ if you could read my mind love}, that and {Early Morning rain}, yes yes once again, both are my favourite. And remember the old one {The Wreck of the Fitzgerald}. Gordon light foot is Canadian. He is from your area in Ontario. Although he had many tours through into Alberta and B.C. I am not sure, but I remember some thing of him gaining fame as the first Canadian artist to gain fame with out going south first into the US. Country and Folk has always it would seem, have been popular in Western Canada for some time. There were a few Cajun radio stations playing Zydeco such as {BeauSoleil}that was popular for some time. That was of course for the French speakers, but, it was fun to Liston. Yes on the CD players. I have two, one for music and the other for playing DVD on the Television, well, actually three counting my lap top. The lap top is the only one that will record a CD. You had a problem some time in past with recording off your computer, were you able to provide a fix on that? Charles

Very nice Rdywenur, I think she is a really Italian-American beauty with inner civilization, like she is nobility or from an aristocratic branch. Have you seen her lovely daughter who speaks exellent french and is a very quite and nice girl. She is for me a part of the Pop-aristocracy in the world, together with David Bowie, Freddy Mercury (Queen), Elton John, Anthony, John Cage and John Lennon. Have you seen the documentry " I'm Going to Tell You a Secret (2005)", that is really one of the best documentries about her ever. She is Britanized now, she even speaks with a sort of british accent. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27m_Going_to_Tell_You_a_Secretwww.planet.nl/planet/show/id=74766/contentid=723167/sc=eaa7f7(Press on Bekijk de video preview (WMP)) Pieter

Hi Pieter, Not sure I did see the documentary. I might have. I do remember seeing some scenes where she is talking to someone English and they are rehearsing. I have watched all here other stuff (Truth or Dare)
She would love you for saying she is nobility or from artistocratic branch. Maybe that comes from living in the land of kings and queens. LOL I have not seen a live Lourdes only a foto of her occasionally. It might be you see more of her via BBC than we do here. Actually it has been very quiet here in the US regarding Madonna. Except for her books now. many people don't like her but I think she is highly talented and extremely smart business person. She has a vision and completes it. And just as you think you you know all about her she imerges totally brand new with new surprises and again reinventing herself. The only thing I do not like is that she is starting to look to masculine especially in the face. Maybe too much training to stay in shape. I do not find it attractive on woemen to bulk up and I hate it on guys who look like the Hulk. It is unnatural looking and I hate tatoos. I prefer the grace and line of a trained dancer.

Charles are you kidding. I would not even know where to start. I think I better leave well enough alone. I have trouble just walking and chewing gum at the same time.
I did appreciate your post in how to go about it and someday if I am adventourous enough I may give it a go. LOL
I was asking if you had a CD player because if there are any cd's I have I could cut you some copies.
