Two extraordinary movies. "The Queen" . The cast is capable and Helen Mirran most deserving of her Golden Globe. "Notes on a Scandal". A different take on pedophilia or perhaps a May/December affair gone wrong. Agreed that's a stretch. A take on Hellman's "Children's Hour" with a different twist. A dark and disturbing film but a must see none the less. An exceptional group of actors make this a fascinating film. Compare this to Venus, the Peter O'Toole film about a lecherous aging actor and a twenty something would be entertainer.

I haven't seen them yet. But I liked the movies Happiness, Magnolia and Boogie Nights.

Saw Boogie Nights. Can it be believed? I guess. Happiness was a mind bender. Didn't see Magnolia. Check out Volver. Tell me what you think. Joan
