Hello Pieter ,Karl and Jaga
Thank you for the warm welcome , and I m sorry for the late reply.
My family is fine , I have 4 beauties girls (Magdoleen,Mariam, Yara ,Julia 3 monthes).Yara with her sisters will enroll in school next year.
Does not hide on one of tragic events of Syria, and are affected by Lebanon, because of some loyal to the regime in Syria, and, unfortunately, is no longer I could join and not even from far away, after that I received many messages offending me and my family ,I cant travel to Lebanon , but Mama comes to visite me .
This is how we are accustomed to the Syrian regime( The threat, and detention). And Lebanese authorities stand handcuffed, unable to protect any Lebanese citizen and not even refugees to Lebanon from the wounded Syrians and their families. . We have no truly national security men, but we have people exploit their positions to serve a category or a range.
Once again thank you all for the weclome .

Rabia,
I am sorry for your situation in the case of Lebanon, and I am glad that you and your family are safe in Dubai. I did not know you have 4 daughters. I knew Magdoleen and Mariam, you showed images of them. But Yara and Julia are new to me. Congratulations with the new daughters. I hope for you and your family that the conflict in Syria will be over soon and that calm will return to Lebanon and that you will be able to visit your mom, dad and family in Lebanon again.
Cheers, Pieter

Rabia
It is so nice of you in sharing of your family, and I must say, a very beautiful family...
Also am I saddened with the situation that has effected your self and your family, it is a shame I must add. As time changes, so well situations, hopefully it will be for the better once this mess is done with.

Rabia, Maybe I confused the names? Are Yara and Magdoleen the oldest ones and Mariam and Julia the younger ones? Anyway nice images. It shows also details of a nice garden and an apartment. You have a cosy family with four wonderful daughters. The last one is stil very little with her three months. Ofcourse she is in good hands of a mother and three older sisters who love her. And ofcourse her dad too. He has 5 ladies to take care of. Cheers, Pieter

Dear Rabia,
I am so glad that you could come to us again not just with one message but hopefully for longer. We tried to contact you but we could not find your facebook etc. Now, I understand why. Sorry to hear about receiving offending messages. This is how totalitarian regimes work.
Julia is beauriful, thanks for her pictures. If your mother still with you? How nice that she could visit.

Rabia,
Welcome back! I hope you have the leisure and desire to come regularly. You add a necessary perspective to the world. So much of our future depends upon what happens in your region.
May each year find you and your family in good health. You mentioned Ramadan and I remembered the story of Muslims working on the Alaska Pipeline in the 1970's. North of the arctic circle the sun never sets for anywhere from 1 day (on the Circle) to 3 months (in the farthest north, on the Arctic Ocean. When Ramadan occurred in the sunny summer, the Muslim workers faced a major problem - the day never ended. After a search for advice, one authority told them (as I remember) that holding to the hours of daylight at Edmonton, Canada, was sufficiently challenging and met the requirements for fasting.
A few quick Google searches came up with some interesting (to me) items on Muslims in Alaska, so I think I will start a short thread on the theme. This may be a Polish forum, but some of us are not Polish, and the forum does cover many ethnic groups and topics.
Welcome back.
Kai

hello Kai: Thank you for welcoming me; I always have a curiosity about fasting in countries where the sun never sets in some seasons, nice of you to mention fasters conditions in those countries. A few days ago I was reading about Muslims in Poland and traditions regarding Ramadan, and there was some youtubes , but the conversation was in Polish and didn't understand . Regards .
