hmmm, we can choose only one favorite ? ;D
I would choose Polish, Italian, Chinese, American - anything NOT spicy (no jalepeno peppers for me!)
Modified to say : my favorite ethnic cuisine is Greek.
But my all-time favorite is: anything that someone else has prepared. ;D

I guess my answer is pretty similar to Nancy's: I can't pick only one cuisine, I pretty much like them all, though I'm not a fan of super-spicy food. A little spicy is OK. Not only do I love it when someone else does the cooking, I love to cook when someone else cleans up in the kitchen! That's the set-up that my husband and I have with regard to big holiday meals.

I have a lazy stomach which must be provoked to eating with hot ingredients. There are a few bottles of Tabasco as well as hot Chinese/Vietnamese/Thai inventions in different colours.

Contrary to your taste, I love spicy food. I have a lazy stomach which must be provoked to eating with hot ingredients. My stomach gets overly provoked with spicy foods, and rejects them

I like Polish food but also have a taste for hot food Thai for example. Mostly Polish since I'm kind of a meat, potatoes and gravy guy

Growing up in a Polish/Slovak household I was not exposed to other ethnic foods. I still miss some of the foods my grandmother and mom used to make. Unfortunately for me I never had the foresite to ask for recipes. Does anyone have a recipe for jellied pigs feet. Won't even attempt to spell the polish name for it, but it was pigs feet that was boiled then poured into bowls like a soup that eventually turned into a jello like substance. Any help with be appreciated

African, Like European with African (Safari) elements. The best mix of French Huegenut, British and 16th century Duch farmer (Braai=barbecue) kitchen. So like French and Belgian (Flemish, Wallon and Luxemburg) cooking, fine meat, good vegetables, good sauces, a good Cape wine (Pinotage), tropical fruit and exellent service (especially the coloured or black personel. The whites kan be moody or arrogant.) Some places have an old Victorian atmosphere, like Winchester Mansions, see: cybercapetown.com/WesternCape/AtlanticSeaboard/SeaPoint/For breakfest you can have a delicious English eggs and Bacon dish. In meat you can choose Ostrich, Springbok, Kudu, crocodile, Zebra or just beef, Turkey or chicken. I ate Ostrich, Springbok, Kudu, Crocodile and Zebra, and liked all meat exept the Crocodile, which too me was not special, a sort of chicken breast. Besides the meat Sout-Africa has a lot of European influences, Jewish, German, Italian, Belgian, Swiss, Danish, Polish and Russian. There are a lot of Europeans. The black african tribes (the majority of the population) have their own territories, Kwazulu-Natal, Swasialand, Sotho, Xosa, Lemba and the original Bushmenpeople, the Koisan. I think in one generation the European and African culture will mix more. Now a lot of things are stil separated, while in the same time the public space is mixed like in Europe and the USA. My favorite meat was Zebra, very refined meet if it is well baked. You have also good Pakistani, Indian and Malayan kitchen there. Pieter

Well, for me, the favorite in Polish without a doubt, but is also the cuisine I have the least of unfortunately. We eat far more Mexican and Chinese because there are many places which serve them. I've never been a fan of Italian cooking, even though the city of St. Louis has a nationally renowned district of Italian food called "THE HILL". (you still have to go to the church there to get a house in the neighborhood, its old school). I've eaten what many say is the best, and like Thai food, for me, it's just OK.
Give me plate with some Bigos, kielbasa, kopyta, a few peirogi, maybe a kapusta salad. A nice shot of Absolwent afterwards ...... I'll be smiling on that evening I can assure you!

So you've been to Africa, Pieter, and liked it! Even that we have in common I never been in South Africa but visited quite a few places in Western Africa and in the Northern, Arab part - that's not a real Africa, though! But I never ate a zebra!
