Michael Baruch (aka Mikey) sent us the recipe that Piwo tried out this weekend. See it on the website: culture.polishsite.us/articles/art340.htmlHe said in his note to Jaga " pyzy and kopytka are a hassel to make so I developed this one that is really good! " He also said to read the recipe very carefully before trying it (perhaps a reference to using sea salt rather than regular salt).

Thank you Nancy for the wonderful segue to my results on the same! They are quite good, and if a kitchen klutz like I can make them, you should be able to do so as well. I made the topping both Saturday and Sunday, and made the Pan Sinkers on Sunday as well. My only problem was that I either needed a touch more flower to thicken things up, or I rolled some that were just too thin. Those didn't survive the boiling process so well. The rest were bardzo smaczny and will be on the menu next weekend as well. I wish I had pictures, but alas, no camera... Thanks MickeyB for the wonderful, modern Polish treat!

Well, this is my version of Mikey B's Tavern Pan Sinkers. It's not a great shot: the flash "bleached out" the details! Well, MikeyB: is that what it's supposed to look like??

Piwo...presentation presentation presentation. He'll tell you to add a bit of parsley on the plate. LOL (just kidding)
How did they come out. Tasty. They are /you are making me hungry! I have yet to try to make some myself. Now that my mom is home I can make some for us both. ;D

Yes, oni byli tak smaczny! They do take awhile to put together, both the topping and the Pan Sinkers together... They're great, I'll be making them regular.

Piwo, yum - those look very tasty! I guess Mikey is too busy running around cooking to comment PS. no parsley - that would be too much green ... maybe some cheese sprinkled around the edge of the plate. ??
