Wow, I learn something new every day. Today I learned about "turducken" - a chicken cooked inside a duck inside a turkey. Apparently this is a Cajun dish that has become popular. It has even been written up in the Washington Post. Not to forget about Fowl De' Cochon - De-Boned Pig stuffed with a De-Boned Turkey, a De-Boned Duck, De-boned Chicken, and De-Boned Quail with two dressings of your choice Only $300.00 from shrimpshrimp.comAnd finally, I found a recipe for stuffed camel - I kid you not!! Serves 80-100. Whole Stuffed CamelIt's enough to make me become a vegetarian. PS. Cute turducken cartoon here

Actually, I heard of Turducken for the first time a couple of years ago, and I guess it's become something of a cult fad for Thanksgiving, along with deep-fried turkeys and Tofurkey (turkey made of tofu, for vegetarians). Personally, Turducken isn't something I'm desperate to try. Some foods are just not meant to be combined. Not like that. And a stuffed camel?!

;D I saw that clip Thanksgiving day and it was very interesting. Doing something like that takes more energy than I care to expend but the final result does look tasty if not fattening ???I won't give it a try any time in the near future. ;D

;D Nancy. The piece was run on one of the morning news programs and I don't recall which one. I think they were doing a reort of Thanksgiving in America and how people were celebrating in Louisana after the hurricane. The piece featured a father and son team along with helpers who made the Turducken for sale in their small store. The report showed the father and son fixing piece for the family dinner and what capped everything was when stuffing was added to the almost ready piece. BTW, very nice cartoon ;D
