interesting website. But "chcialabym" "I would like" Is a difficult word in Polish. Instead of " I would like a ticket - it would be easier to ask "prosze bilet" "please, ticket"

interesting website. But "chcialabym" "I would like" Is a difficult word in Polish. Instead of " I would like a ticket - it would be easier to ask "prosze bilet" "please, ticket" Ahhh... I know this problem well in Slovak! In my first language course I had a difficult time with pronouncing "I want" "Chcel by som" so I stuck with other words that are easier to pronounce and avoided chciet' , and again similar to the Polish, I can say "Prosím si ... " for I want... or "dám si" Only in this last course I had less precise instructors and not a professor, and I would get way with saying "sell" for "chcel", so I started to use the word. It is bad enough trying to think of the right word, it is more complicated when you realize you have to pronounce it so a native has a chance to understand what you are trying to say! Perhaps they should teach courses with the idea that foreigners will be speaking with an accent and must learn words that natives stand a better chance of understanding. Then as we improve we can start utilizing vocabulary that is closer to what native speakers use. But then I am certainly no linguist, no teacher, and am happy with simple communication! PS. This got me to look into my old lesson book and I am thinking I should carry it along for simple reading exercise. The vocabulary is composed or words I am supposed to know, so it is!easy! reading.

Kai, I agree that learning language should be more practical. Besides "ticket, please" is also polite. Nictoe, this video was rather making fun from how difficult Polish language is
