These girls should consider immigrating to the Netherlands or Denmark
Statistically, the tallest people in the world, as measured by country are the Dutch. The average height for all adults for the Netherlands is 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m). This great leap in height is a huge change for Holland, where about 100 years ago, 25% of men who attempted to join the army were rejected as being too short, less than 62 inches (1.57 m) tall.
There are taller people belonging to certain populations within countries. This is especially true of the Maasai people, who live in parts of Tanzania and Kenya. But as a whole, the citizens living in the Netherlands are on average, the tallest people. Even people who have immigrated to the Netherlands from other parts of the world are taller on average than their racial groups in their countries of origin.
Standing next to the Dutch, almost shoulder to shoulder, are the Danes. Average height in Denmark is 6 feet (1.83 m). Americans, who once were the tallest people, have fallen in stature and are on average about 5 feet 9 inches (1.76 m) for men.
P.S.- I am 1.91 meter, and that is due to my tall Polish grandfather, who had the same length. My father and mother are less tall then me. Once in Laughlin a gamble town in Nevada, where I was in februari 1999 (I don't gamble by the way) during a four state trip (California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah) I had a wonderful hotel room on the 18th store and a very tiny, little bath tub. I though back then. Yeeeh, are those Americans such small people or am I such a tall guy? In the Netherlands I wasn't am not so tall or exceptional, but in Poland and the USA I am. I am taller than the average people there.
By the way, women are usually less tall then men, also in the Netherlands. But Dutch and Danish women are taller than other European women I think. Those Polish girls would not be an exception in the Netherlands or Denmark. It is true that tall women have a harder time finding a suitable partner.

The cliché start of a date, 'do you have a light for me'?
Dutch comedy about a tall woman and a small guy, the images say it all
The tall girl and the little girl conversation: Tall girl; "Hi I am Prescilla!" Small girl; "I am little, eh.., I mean I am Mariska."
It also shows that Dutch girls are pro-active in dating. The initiative lies with the tall girl! Question is. Is the tall girl to tall for the little guy?
The tall Polish girls would feel at home in Amsterdam or Copenhagen.

Pieter: Generally tall people have it easier in life. Presidents, especially in America are usually selected among tall people. Maybe for women it is sometimes a problems since they may have it difficult to find a taller guy, still, being tall gives more power, than being short. You could check the manifesto by a recent killer, Elliot Roger, one of his problems was that he was small. He committed a rampage in California. I am actually reading his manifesto. It is interesting and painful since Elliot was a geek, loony and socially awkward, still maybe somebody could help in time and then it would be a different outcome. This manifesto can be an interesting read since this boy was originally born in England, travelled the world and he felt always the outsider. abclocal.go.com/three/kabc/kabc/My-Twisted-World.pdf

Tall girls, my self had not thought very much in this regard to being primarily tall ladies in The Netherlands and Denmark. With thinking in rememberance, I would suppose so. With travel so prominent today as not so when my self was a young man.
Whilst in school in Denmark, one after noon was devoted to learning to mix with the opposite sex and, to learn to dance. I knew how to dance, but with my cousins, I knew very little how to talk to other girls and many were much more tall then my self. Our school mistress would not allow my self and cousin Adriane to dance together, but to other dance partner in that stead.
This was an absolute disaster for me. I do not recall her name at present, but she was much more taller then my self, my face reached her chine and she would laugh at my mistakes. What I hated most, was she would play with my hair whilst dancing. I was blond then, skinny and not so tall as others my age. My growth was not so much until in my later teens, then very much so after that to my present height of 1.80m.
Although in retrospect, I think perhaps yes, for the most part, Nederland and Dansk people are a bit taller then to the South {Germany}. And very much so then in South America of Uruguay and Argentina. In Mexico, for the most part, the people are of short statue in comparison. The Indian Mexicans are even more short then the European Mexicans.
In regard to height, I am not sure which would have the advantage over the other as being tall or short. For the most part, it would so appear like usually attracts like or so it would appear. But, not ever thing is as it appears, nature has her own manner of working.

Jaga/Karl,
I was laughing a bit when I heard your teenage story about your tall dance partner, because I recognize myself in it. So, maybe I laughed more about myself than about you Karl, because I can understand you. And I have the ability of selfmockery. I had dance lessons, classical dance (Foxtrot, English Walsh, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Tango, Jive and disastrous in my case the Samba - I had a bad timing and the wrong Motor skills for traditional dancing-) and thank god for me during the lessons we changed partners. The best thing would have been if I had danced with my sister for instance, because we were both tall. But I was stubborn and refused to dance with my sister. But there were other partners and she was in another dance lesson/group. I remember that there was a brother/sister dance couple and they danced very well.
The hilarious and very funny thing was that I had very short and very large dance partners. One girl was very tall, like two heads or one and a half heads taller then me (to me she looked back then if she was 2 meters, maybe she was), and my head (nose) was like between her breasts. When we were dancing in the square room and we reached the corner for a turn, I wispered in her ear, "Could you lead the turn, dear, I am very bad in timing." later I became taller, but in that time (1985, 15 years old) I was very skinny too (in my personal view) (I could eat like tons of food but not gain a pound) It must have looked like a Mister Bean like dance performance. With the little girl the scene was like this "She danced like 12 steps, and I did 6 steps in the same time. Or sometimes her feet were in the air when I caried her in the turn of the corner". Once there was a big disaster for me, when in a wet part of the floor (maybe some soda, cola or beer was spilled on the floor) I lost my balance and fell upon my dance partner. Lucky enough the girl wasn't heard. But my face was red like a strawberry. It was like one of those 'Funniest home video's'. If I skipped the rules and changed them a bit and found my own way of dancing I could get along with the rest. I hated the dance exams, the strict old fashionate dance teacher, a real drill inspector. But I loved dancing and the atmopshere.
Looking back I can laugh about myself until tears come into my eye, because these were really comical (silly) scenes. you can imagine I haven't become a professional ballroom dancer, and later I prefered disco, hip hop and new Wave dancing. Going out after the dance lesson period in Zeeland, Amsterdam and Arnhem was more fun for me. I love free dancing in a discotheque or dancing. I liked to danced from 23:00 hours until 5/6 in the morning during my student time in Amsterdam and Arnhem. Free style dancing is more my thing. And now I become older I liked slow dancing on occasion (cheek to cheek) very cosy, nice and relaxed. I like tall girls because they fit my seize. I have had smaller girlfriends, but sometimes I was to large for them and they to small for me. I had to bow all the time or to bend my knees to get at the same level with them. So sometimes, I have to admid, I see a wonderful tall woman, and think, wow, my seize, good girl! But in the same time opposite attracts sometime!
There is an image of my blond and blue eyed sister (half Polish like me) in 1984 in Warsaw. She was 13 back then and next to her stand two Polish soldiers (coincidental/passers by), and she is one head taller then them. The soldiers look like tiny men. (They must have been 18 or 20) I wonder why the Danish and Dutch people are so tall. Is it because we consume a lot of milk, buttermilk, cheese (Gouda/Edam/Delft), cream butter and brown bread, vegetables, fruits, ham, eggs and meat (pork, beef and etc.)? But I do remember Polish people were shorter, and Czech, Italian, German and even British people too. I stil don't understand why the Danes and Dutch are so large. We are not different than other Europeans or Americans.
Cheers, Pieter

Tall people catch more wind when they walk and cycle (in the case of my country; cycle country the Netherlands), tall people have to carry more weight, and they often get remarks that they blind someone else's sight, remarks like; " Could you please bow, move to the left/right or sit somewhere else." in the cinema, theatre, concert hall, class or social gathering (work/hooby group/club and etc.) Tall people indeed have the advantage that they see more than small people and can look over people. But really tall people are also exhausted easier than small people, because being tall costs more energy, with those long legs, arms, bodies and etc. You have to watch your head for objects, and move more carefully. Sometimes it is more difficult to find the right seize in clothes, shoes and etc. The case of Elliot Roger is a sad case, and unfortunately there are a lot of dangerous lone wolfs like him walking around in the USA and Europe. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphen_aan_den_Rijn_shopping_mall_shootingCheers, Pieter

For instance when there is very little space in train compartment to sleep or even during yoga classes, taller people need more space I guess, the best it is to be middle-tall. But if it would be so bad to be tall why so many girls wear high heel shoes? Actually I think it is easier for girl to be shorter than for a boy or man. Tallness means a prestige. I was always on the shorter side therefore I see world from a different perspective than you guys, but I like tall guys

Cheers, Pieter * Other tall guys always means competition for me. And believe me there is the 'irritating fact that there are taller guys then me over here'.
