J.J.
Thank you for checking in with update of your travel and visit in Quebec. Sounds as you both are enjoying your trip and stay. Pieter has provided and excellent combination of interesting facts of both the people and sights in Quebec that is very commendable, for little I may add.
I do believe though you both will enjoy the interaction with French Canadian people. It has been some years since my exposure to French Canadians and with this, memory serves only a little. It would be good if in your area of access, for a tour for hire for a couple of hours to view the highlights in the area you are in. For my self am not sure if you are near or in Old Quebec City or the new. If it is on your agenda, a very interesting visit would be The Frontenac Hotel, it is a very old hotel but very interesting for a visit and lunch in the restaurant to take in the visual and sensual experience. This and the Quebec Parliament building and grounds. Place Royal Chateau comes to mind as another amongst many as fun for a visit.
Although Quebec is absolutely French Canadian, most folks are bilingual so language should not be an issue. As with your prior experience with French Canadians, it should be a fun return to that land..

Dear John, Good to hear from you overthere. Enjoy your stay in the camp and a good time there. It is nice that you have internet access. New England looks like the Netherlands today. The hot summer creates some extreme weather over here. Heavy rain and thunder! Good that you can hide in the local pub. Wish you safe and pleasurable road trips and a great stay in Quebec. Keep us informed about your adventures there. Cheers, Pieter

Karl, We didn't go to Quebec City as it is another 4 to 5 hour drive further north of here. We did visit Coaticook and Sherbrook, Quebec. As a matter of fact my brother in law and I shared some time at the following location. www.golfmilby.com/It was pleasant and it wasn't raining then. In another 3 weeks we have the moose festival here in Colebrook, NH. I will have to visit and go on helicopter rides with my friend who is the pilot. See you all later.

Great Golf Course John. Funny accent that Quebecian French. I listened to the guy on the video of the link you posted. It is good that you had/have a pleasant time there my friend.
Enjoy the summer in beautiful Quebec and New England!
Going to a moose festival by helicopter must be fun.
