And another French singer. My mother was very fond of his music: French music was part of my parents home. They called that kind of music, light music or chanson française. French pop group, English language music, but typical French sound ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modjo )

Pieter
Your parents are so correct, French music for the most part, is quite such as with the music of Jacques Brel. I do enjoy the music to fit my moods, such as Brazilian or as the situation will call for after a day to forget, to turn on some Middle Eastern such as Kurdish. For although not understanding the words, the music allows my self to think and resolve what accumulations of unresolved issues of the day.
If to spark up a depressing day, a little Brazilian Bachata to bring life to a dying brain feeling. For a bit of lift in the flat, some recordings of long long past Weimar Berlin very old music, or some Andrea Berg. Whilst doing so though, these times it is best to leave the wine where it is..other wise, the four walls have a tendency to close in..

Dear Jaga,
I am glad that this French music made you feel okay. It made me feel good too. To go back to that seventies, eigthies and sometimes sixties, fifties or even fourties songs. I am especially fond of Edith de Piaf, George Brassens and Charles Trenet.
Cheers, Pieter

Jacques Bler is a classics. He looks so sweaty in some videos. In the past they might not have a good makeup to cover for sweat.... but I like that some of the videos have captures in English. It helps me to learn French. Just yesterday I had a dessert with a friend, who mother was French and she speaks good French! So I feel like learning...
referring to the picture of Brigitte Bardot. I am glad that nowadays women can get famous not only because of their bodies, but there is much more which need to be changed.
