Jaga
Snow is vey beautiful and timely for your white Christmas..It is good to visit Johns parents for the holiday and very good for Ela to catch up with some time with her grandparents.
I am sorry your Father in Law is sick, but with good hope and trust the Chemo treatments will cure this cancer.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for all of you..

Dear friends,
I was cycling yesterday with my 88 years old father and 81 years old mother. They are less mobile than they used to be in the past. We used to cycle, walk, swim during most of the year and langlauf a lot in the winter.
Today they are old can do less. I enjoy the time with them. Yesterday my father had cardiac arrhythmia during cycling. We had to stop and pause for a long period and then cycled back home very slowly. I enjoy the time I stil have with them. And woryy less about foreign news and even national news in the Netherlands.
My parents do their excercises, their daily cycling and walks. But you can't deny age. So they have to take care.
Dear friends, your wife, your husband (in the case of Jaga and Jeanne), your children, your parents, family, close intimate friends and dear colleagues are the most important things you have in life. Very good neighbours you are fond of count to that inner clircle sometimes.
The other things come second in place. Thank you for reminding me about the important things in life. (Bonobo, Jaga, Jeanne, Karl, John, Kai [Ron], Nicotshek, and the familymembers of Bob and Robert who contacted us after their deaths, to say how they appreciated this human forum. And also our Englishman who passed away, and Adam, Bunjo and Tufta who left, must be living, working somewhere today. You all are and were valuable to me and others.)
For the non-christians, jews, muslims (Rabia), atheists and agnostics who visit this Forum, that you may enjoy your free days because of the christian holiday Christmas, and enjoy a good new year 2016 too.
Have a great, warm and cosy christmas all of you with family, friends, or with good memories of them (if you are alone). And that the new year may bring you a good health, succes, happiness and joy! Have a nice christmas holiday all of you!
Cheers, Pieter

Pieter, I saw your post about your parents. It is sad that the are getting weaker. Considering their age they are pretty good , but the arythmia during biking sound scary. We just came to Texas. I was worried since my father in law had chemioterapie and removed tumor from face, but he looks better than I expected. Frail, but we went to the church. My mother in law lost weight and look s worse than I expected. She does not do any exercise besides house chores and I can see osteoporosis. She says that she does not care, but she is not even 80. It is sad to see aging. I believe that it could be reversed at least partly if they take care of themselves better with exercise.. Still, some things we just cannot stop

Dear Jaga,
I am glad your father in law survived. My fater looks frail to but in the same time he is resiliant and stil ful of life and energy. He has to back down sometimes, but he has some temperament in his character and personality. I recognise that in myself.
My parents do excercises every day. TV gym, ccyling and walking. So not moving or sporting enough is not the case in their case. But you can't deny aging. Getting older makes you weaker and more vulnerable. I am worried sometimes, because they have fast going electronic bikes. They can cycle normal and they can cycle with the help of an electronic engine with several gears.
It is very good that they do the tv excercises every morning. I just talked with my sister and her husband from Cape Town South-Africa. They have a wonderful christmas in warm South-Africa and will go to a resort at the coast at the ocean shore. It is good to hear that they are okay and enjoying their lives over there. The American and Polishf family is okay too. My father is doig better. So I am happy for now.
Cheers, Pieter
