I found where village Krutoyanka (Northern Kazakhstan) really is! I will post some satellite pictures so you can see. It is in the middle of nowhere but it is surrounded by two beautiful lakes, one salty (white) and one marshy (dark)

Kazaksthan and Polish exile stories are updated with a new article by Martin Nowak. I also added more pictures to the stories. Martin talks about the exiles to Russia during Polish uprisings in XIX centuries and goes back to the history of first exiles. I try to interlink more articles with his and add some pictures www.polishsite.us/index.php/history-and-people/modern-history/515-history-of-siberian-exiles.htmlHistory of Siberian Exiles Please, check it out. The fragments that descrive the exile to Russia after start of WW II are very similar to the personal memories that I post in Polish-American Journal

Guys, you don't realize how excited I was when I finally found out where was the place in Kazakhstan! It was really not easy to find it. Kazakstan is still one of these blank places where nobody really goes to visit. Mongolia became a local attraction but not Kazakhstan, probably because Kazakhstan was a part of Soviet Union for so long!
