Burgundic life stance By the way I belong to the North Dutch, from above the Rhine river and therefor are not a Burgundic person unfortunately. (family roots in the Calvinist North and Catholic Poland. I have no idea if the Poles are Burgundic or not?) Why should Poles be Burgundic? We have our own multiethinic Polish tradition called Sarmatic lifestyle.

Pieter
You have of mention of the Ardens...Yes, what you have describe is of so.. For it has been of a time, but whilst on Holiday, upon my motorcycle, were to be through this area. It is wonderful to say of less. At moment, I am to attempt of remembrance of some of villages to speak of.
But of the food and beer, it was of excellence! Your Heineken is very good!! and also that of Grolisch, so why complain? Is so very close to our Becks of Bremen..
The Ardens of Belgium are such a break from our hum drum life of noise and work. But, I would stand to wonder, how much of our future, this will stand?

Charles, There is nothing wrong with Heineken, it's an ordinairy beer I drink in Dutch pubs, at parties and in restaurants, next to the other beers Grolsch, Hertog Jan beer or Amstel. We Dutch drink a lot of beer, next to the wine, genever, whiskey and vodka that is drunk here too. It's just that it is easy to buy Belgian beers in the super market and in pubs (although they are more expensive and called " special beers" here). In a restaurant or on a terrace of a café, I prefer a Belgian beer, because it is special, because you do not drink it every day. I have Heineken in my fridge right now and an eight pack of Grolsch cans on my cool winter balcony, and will drink a few Grolsch beers tonight. Some Dutch friends of mine are real Heineken lovers, and other friends prefer Grolsch, some of them only want the first or the second beer, that's difficult, so at a party I have several beers. Belgian beers are for once or twice a week, wednesday bachelor diner, and maybe friday or saturday in the pub. Belgian beers will stay my favorite, but there is nothing wrong with Polish, Czech, German and Austrian beers either. In Germany I drink German beer when I am in Düsseldorf, Kassel or Berlin; Altbier, Weizen (Berliner Weiße), Kasseler or Zipfer, in Poland Zywiec and in Czech the original Budweiser Budvar (Budejovický Budvar). I like the the German brewers' adherence to the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot (purity requirement) dating from 1516. Yes, Charles a beer is a beer, but a real beer drinker has it's favorites! I drink Dutch and Belgian beer every week! Charles Charles, Becks beer is okay too, I remembered drinking it in a sort of Alternative culture area of the German neighbourhood Kreuzberg, at a Pizeria. beerkong.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/beer_becks.jpgKreuzberg, Berlin: www.kneipen-suche.com/images/images_kneipen/9643.jpgwww.buemo.de/Bilder/Fotos/DSC04921_jpg.jpgPieter
